"I love restaurants that don't look like much from the outside and then surprise. Heartwarming welcome. Good food. I ordered the two house specialties: snails as a starter and ham with Chablis sauce as a main course. Both dishes are very good. There is a But.... the starter and main course have exactly the same sauce. Very good sauce certainly but a misstep that disappoints. Service was slow and robotic. I can't stand being asked if it was to have nothing to do with my answer. When I mentioned that the dish was good but that it was a bit disappointing to have the same sauce as the starter, I was asked if I wanted a dessert or a coffee! Very well served glass of Chablis."

Very friendly welcome and good location. Regarding the kitchen, it's good but from another era! Old-fashioned presentation, same vegetables cut into brunoise in all the dishes, and very expensive for what it is: €35 per person for 6 snails as a starter and three slices of cooked ham as a main course. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

The quality of the products and the culinary realization were at the rendezvous. I ate two nights in a row the menu at 27€ in the evening package. I found myself very fortunate to be able to taste such good things at a modest price, reduced by the choice of the package. The quality of the products and the culinary realization were at the rendezvous. The wines with pichetes are excellent, the wine tasting of Burgundy is more pleasant.

I love restaurants that don’t pay a mine from the outside and then this surprise. Welcome. Good cooking. I ordered the two homemade specialties: the snails in the entrance and the ham sauce chablis in the dish. Both dishes are very good. There's a But... the entrance and the dish have exactly the same sauce. All right, but a false step that disappoints. The service was slow and robotic. I do not stand to be asked if it was not to do anything with my answer. When I mentioned that the dish was good but it was a little disappointing to have the same sauce as the entrance, I'm wondering if I want dessert or coffee! Very well served chablis glass.

"I think my family has been going to this restaurant for the last 15 years, always for lunch as we prefer not to drive at night from our city. My parents have a house nearby although a lot of us live overseas. The food is excellent, for us it is like a ceremony, we all dress up to go there! First, there is the warm welcome of Mrs. Gillot and her invaluable butler and his great humour and also the younger butler who is all bubbly and cheerful. Then there is the aperitif Gougères, cheese sticks and mini-croque-monsieur, all homemade although I have not eaten them much as my kids always steal them away from me... I cannot have enough of their little thin freshly baked breads, like "mini baguettes". Oh my Oh my... The menus are great, you do not have to take the expensive ones, there is a simple one as well. The food is excellent. My parents are absolutely crazy about the crayfish in the summer or the veal with morilles mushrooms. I love their foie gras appetiser. They have a great "plateau de fromages", cheese tray with an excellent assortment of cheeses from the area. Go for the goat cheeses, they are very good in this area. I discovered one there: a cow milk cheese full of raisins. Scrumptious. The desserts are plentiful, you will need to choose them at the beginning of the meal as some need special preparation. The photos posted by the other customers will show you the impeccable taste Mr. Gillot has in presenting his desserts. They have great dishes by the way, which they regularly change. In 15 years, we have witnessed the changes! I love Mr. Gillot's passion for cuisine. He spoke to my teenager who had a few questions about the job of chef. His answers were kind and full of love for his craft. We just love this place. Careful though: one warning! There is at the entrance of that street-village where the Auberge is a very nasty speed radar so SLOW DOWN at the entrance as soon as you see the 50km panel because my brother was flashed twice by that blasty radar and lost some points on his driving licence. You have been warned!!!!"
