Here the atmosphere in the restaurant was just wonderful. We were the last clients there as our table was for 9.30pm and we were never felt rushed, the food was great and we had lots of laughs Ver carta

I was very well satisfied with Le Comptoir d'Ainay, where I was graciously served a meal of just what I wanted: delicious comfort food. I had a very fresh mixed salad and a mouth-wateringly delicious veal stew. Consider reserving in advance, particularly on busy evenings.

We had the 27 euro menu or just a main, each of which was well enough presented and prepared. Travers de veau was pleasant; the menu liver as main course was average and the advertised half of a St Marcellin cheese was distinctly small. Morgon and Macon Villages by the glass were most acceptable and equally good.

Went there for a diner with friends. And I wouldn’t, in good faith, recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. While the food was actually quite good, the customer service was despicable to say the least. The waitress was impolite, condescending, and disrespectful. She was clearly repulsed by our presence, and she didn’t even bother to hide it. At some point we asked her for water and bread, her answer was right away , and she went on to an other table taking orders from other people. We were mid-course when the other gentleman waiter was finally kind enough to bring them. The whole experience was obscene and infuriating due to the waitress’s disparaging looks and bashing remarks.
