"After being in the catering business for over 30 years, I hate to write poor reviews, but our experience at this restaurant has prompted me to do so. We were the first to arrive were shown to one of the tables for 2 in the far corner of the restaurant. One chair looking out the other facing a wall!. We rapidly moved that chair to next to the one facing out so that both of us felt part of the restaurant. The music on, quite loudly was Gregory Porter who we like have seen in concert, but this is not the kind of relaxing background music we expect to have during a meal which we were looking forward to having read previous reviews. A amuse bouche was bought to the table we were told what it was. We placed our order wine choice. We both ordered the Lobster dish Grand Marnier Souffle for dessert. The lobster arrived on warm plates. This was a stew of beans in tomato with a piece of lobster 1 claw. The lobster which should have been the star of the dish was absolutely tasteless, and at a guess had been water bathed to cook through. No hint of a lobster bisque or any other flavour resembling this delicate crustacean in the beans and a foam of who knows what. So very disappointing to say the least. The souffle followed. Firstly the menu said that the dish would be served with a sorbet, what arrived was not sorbet , but after asking a waiter we were told was ice cream., so def not sorbet then. If you have to substitute a dish, then let the diners know! A pipet filled with Grand Marnier was present too, and if it had not been for that to rescue the dish again the whole ensemble would have been tasteless. The whole of the dessert was egg white, no hint of the base which under normal circumstances would have been folded into the whites, to result in a more dense dessert, which actually tastes of something. We had to ask for our wine to be bought over from an ice bucket to refill our glasses. This is not the standard of food that we expected. We visited other restaurants in Le Mans on this trip, and with no star, no pretence and no airs graces were by far much better."

very pleasant discovery of this comfortable restaurant. the staff is pro and warm, the dishes we have chosen have greatly appreciated for the wine that has been advised to us. very positive experience and desire to come back to test the other dishes!

We had a great time at the Grenier à Sel. The decoration is pretty, we appreciated the fact that the tables are spaced apart. Everything was perfect, the welcome, the service, the dinner... It was a treat, for the taste buds but also for the eyes. The wine offered to me was excellent. The staff is attentive while being discreet. We will come back, for sure! Service: Dine in

un lundi soir au mans (jour de la semaine sinistré en terme de restos donc on decide de redecouvrir ce resto dont on avait un très bon (vieux souvenir...sympas au telephone, sympas a l'arrivée, un service présent mais pas trop, et des sourires; une carte limitée mais des plats excellents..fins, avec beaucoup de saveurs et de recherches; menus du soir à 59 entree/plat/dessert, une belle carte de vins..(attention a la gestion des vins par table, un peu confuse, on nous a servi le vin d'une autre table.. ..; bref, une très belle et bonne adresse au mans Ver carta

Several servers take care of you all at the lo'g of the meal and make sure at any time you don't miss anything. Very disappointed! This restaurant practices fairly bold prices and must therefore present a certain level at all levels not only, I found a lack of freshness for some ingredients such as the spice bread accompanying the foie gras of my table neighbor that I could taste as well as the cake placed under my salt caramel apple: both were dry, hard and without flavor. as well as ducks offered in mignardise that were also carbonized. and the salted caramel droplets were only tasteable to the finger, so they were mediocre. Moreover, I asked for a more or less vegan menu because there was no option or even vegetarian on the map. and we dared to charge me as for a normal menu while there was no foie...
