"We were 7 people and arrived here by chance this Sunday noon after being repressed unfriendlyly by another restaurant in the same city... What a pleasant surprise, excellent cuisine and top service by the boss who has a lot of merit to ensure everything himself... So yes a little wait, but it's nothing when the plates arrive. Decayed boss humour just excellent!!!! Well done, sir, and thank you for the good time."

"This is a very pleasant restaurant offering excellent service. The food is another story. The chef uses excellent ingredients but prepares them in a way that didn't suit us at all. A petfectly seared tuna was combined with green asparagus, green beans and a hollandaise sauce plus an egg ? . A perfectly slow cooked and tasty filet of veal was cold and served with a few drops of a very strange tasting sauce. It took one hour for the starter to arrive and another 45 minutes for the main course. After that we had seen enough and thanked for cheese and dessert. What a pity for the good tuna and veal and the service staff but this dinner was failed opportunity."

"A wine maker in Sancerre had high accolades for this nice place. We moored the barge late morning and made reservations for lunch.. After a nice cold beer on the front terrace we were seated in the cool shade of the back of the restaurant. The back terrace is a delight on a hot day. As it was mid-week we were able to get a table but be warned that you will probably need reservations if you plan to visit during the weekend. the service was friendly and the menu offered an attractive choice of dishes. The escargots were very good and I had a chance to enjoy one of my favourite dishes: steak Rossini, in this case a lovely piece of Charolais beef cooked to perfection and topped by a couple of generous slices of grilled foie. My wife had the perch and reported it was excellent. We drank carafes of local roses and reds..good stuff and the price was right. The desserts are amazing and change daily... Creme brule and a wonderful floating island on our visit. The cheese cart had a very wide selection and it was fun to sample a few new things....This is a nice place and I can only imagine what a meal like this would cost in Paris.. certainly 3 times more than we happily paid here... Very very nice.. If you are boating on the canal this is a must place to stop.... Cross the " sky canal" and moor on the other side of the bridge.. The walk back is amazing ..looking DOWN at the Loire far below."

"very good reception but the not terrible dishes that I think it is frozen, I was disappointed by the whole crêpe too grilled, my husband by the friture thinks it is frozen, the salad was not fresh certainly in the bag, the cook should examine the recipes, otherwise the person who welcomed us very pleasant. I give the score of 1.5 out of 5."

"Sans réservation, nous avons pu déjeuner dans ce bel établissement. Comme nous étions pressés, le maître d'hôtel nous a suggéré le menu à 25 euros vraiment très bien avec une entrée dont un thon rouge cuisson basse température délicieux , un plat une ballottine de volaille avec purée de pois et pois frais et de bons desserts, plus un verre de vin et un café, c'est assez exceptionnel pour le noter surtout un samedi midi. Le tout servi par un personnel très professionnel, aimable et rapide ( compte tenu de nos délais) dans une belle salle avec bien sur des émaux de Briare.Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute et prendrons cette fois le temps d'y dormir"
