"fantastic French bistro food and very good service. a great addition to the high street and I am sure it will be a success. I had a steak, my wife ate the seabrat she enjoyed, and our daughter chose the pork and the lyonnaise kartoffels she enjoyed. the portions were generous and the house wine was excellent. the children's menu is simply smaller portions of the adult meal we thought was a much better idea that the usual Burger Fish Goujons that offer most restaurants. the prices were very reasonable, I thought, especially given the quality of cooking and service. very happy to see le marmiton in wanstead, so thanks to the entire team."

This is a lovely restaurant that’s perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. We always enjoy the food, and the service is outstanding. I appreciate that it has a relaxed atmosphere without being too formal.

nice dinner here last night. we had to share the monktail (with herbal potato and saw spinat) and the vanilla and cointreau cream brule. delucious. service was as good as ever and the old fashion was again first class. Ver carta

Elite tier meal, despite Covid we enjoyed having the tables spaced apart and the atmosphere was warm inside. Chateaubriand was fantastic as were the chips! Really enjoyable would recommend to anyone in the Wanstead area as there isn’t anything too similar nearby

on Saturday evening to dinner. for first I had the snails and for the main thing I went for the lamb, originally wanted the due confit but they were out. eating was very nice and the lamb was huge, delicate, a small fat layer and a crispy edge. service was great and so were the cocktails!
