"We arrived on the 20th of June around 9pm for a late dinner. The girl who greeted us appeared visibly annoyed by us showing up despite the restaurant showing signs everywhere that they are open until midnight even for food. She pointed to a table for us to sit at. We asked if we could sit by the window (the place was nearly empty and we weren’t asking for a bigger table) and she abruptly pointed at the original table and said “I said that one.” Practically had the menus thrown at us, so of course at this stage I felt so unwelcome and I could see the girl stropping about the place with the most miserable look so both myself and my partner left the premises. We were out to celebrate our engagement so we were planning on spending quite a bit of money but the thought of being served by someone so unwelcoming all night was too off putting. No matter how nice the food would have been, that girl ruined the whole experience from the moment we arrived. AVOID."

Burger (egg bacon) super good, saignant steak, egg yolk, very good fries. Quick service (on and coming at 3pm). Very nice server. I recommend.

A very old restaurant bar a few steps from the beach. Open all year, really the city center spirit, we can eat something all day. Beautiful shaded terrace. Quick service, friendly staff. Correct prices.

Visited for my wife's birthday lunch on a dull and wet day. Restaurant very busy, service and food excellent, staff very friendly and efficient and welcoming to English. We had a very nice lunch at a window table. Good value as well.

Nice place in the center of Royan. The staff is very cheerful and always takes care of you. The food is very good and there is a wide choice on the menu. Note that the dishes served are very generous. We recommend spending a good time relaxing in a warm setting.
