"Maybe it's me, but July in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc is really a camping scene - 1000's of families with screaming and out of control kids running around in flip flops with the parents totally inappropriately dressed for dinner ... The night had actually turned cold and damp and I was hungry for something good to eat. The only place left at Le 14 for me (as a single) was outside on the vine-covered patio and I suppose I was lucky to get a spot. There are always cigarette smokers defiantly puffing away outside wherever you go, so I learned early on to just deal with it. The duck confit was indeed good, the ratatouille tasted canned, like it needed some love and attention. The potatoes looked good, but I always leave them off if I want a dessert, which was the case that night. The pannacotta, a French version of the famous Italian one, was actually great with 2 little pots of sauces - a salted caramel and a raspberry one. The reason I gave this a Very Good and not Excellent rating was the ratatouille (which should have been exceptional as it's a so very 'French' standard), and the multitude of kids and screaming babies who were overrunning this otherwise elegant place. Like I said, maybe it's just me."

"A éviter, surtout quand vous avez des enfants : Les "garages à poussettes" ne sont pas les bienvenus !Que dire de l'accueil...glacial en ce jour de canicule ! Effectivement, ça rafraichit quelques peu !!Les assiettes de salades étaient très belles, mais quel dommage que de manger près des poubelles du voisin... le goût des gésiers et des magrets s'est envolé..."

"Incredible culinary experience, menu 7 courses, no fake cooking notes. Random service, reservation made on the terrace but finally put inside, some servers do not describe the dishes, cleaning tables in the sanytol during the service, which can modify the senses for an optimal experience. Length between dishes, 3h30, 7 dishes. In summary, a perfect kitchen, a service with a lot of improvement axes"

"The meals are copied and the value/price ratio is correct. The frame is idyllic, the lights give a very friendly "Guinguette" atmosphere. Our server has been professional throughout our meal. The entrance and the dish were perfect, but concerning the cream burned, I have a doubt about the “freshness” of the dessert. Despite this detail, everything was perfect and we'll be back with pleasure."

"This smallish restaurant is just fantastic. It's been here over 40 years and we know that because we used to come here 34 years ago. The food is great and the service sensational. The two servers both speak excellent English which is handy and will willingly help with your choices. We've had the salmon, pork, steak and all we great along with amazing desserts. And the price is good too. ...and it's all in a lovely little village."
