"Based on some of the negative reviews, we almost didn't go to this restaurant, but we had had a personal recommendation, so we decided to try it out. The restaurant itself is a strange, eclectic mix of styles, with large Buddhas dominating the main room....Below is an open air pizza/bar area, which has a different, more chilled feel. My group of 9 opted for the EUR30, 3 course deal, which basically enabled us to choose anything from the menu no catches or exclusions (which is a pleasant surprise). A couple of our preferred starters had sold out, but there was still enough choice. The starters were good. The mains were excellent on the whole. I had duck with roasted vegetables, which was really delicious and the pear poached in red wine and cinnamon was simply superb. Some of the group had ribs, which they also loved. And our toddler had a steak hache (freshly prepared not pre made) with frites, which was great he loved it. The only main course which was a bit confused was my wife's, who had fish. It came with both steamed and tempura vegetables, which dominated the plate, whilst the portion of fish was actually quite small. The deserts were also great. I had the deconstructed lemon tart which was superb and my wife had the chocolate fondant, which was also great. The lovely owner (I presume), who was also serving us was fantastic. She took time to explain to us the menu and it came across that she genuinely cares. She also made some great recommendations on the wines. If you're in the area, then it's definitely worth heading up to Saint Jeannet to visit Le SB Sainte Barbe. The views from the restaurant over the valley and to the sea are fantastic...which adds to the experience."
