"Short version: Tuk Tuk might be cheaper, but the quality is very very low: ingredient quality, dish taste, service, and overall experience. KOhn Kaen is a little bit more pricier, but ingredients, dishes, service, and experience are all high quality. I was surprised that a town the size of Evian-les-Bains has two Thai Restaurants. And the two places are one street away from each other. Naturally, I was expecting comparable quality, the difference in price being based on how fancy the location is. After all Kohn Kaen is a larger, much better equipped place, and TukTuk is viewed as a fast food with only a few seats available. And I was so wrong. Tuk Tuk offers low quality noodles, with unpleasant taste that don 't remind much of Thai cuisine. The noodles are most of the contents of the box: the meat is a few very small pieces, that correspond in color to beef or chicken. Pad Thai? Unlike the noodles which are thin spagetti, these are thin strips of pasta with the same almost rubbery texture and little extra. On the other hand, Kohn Kaen is a treat. The service is excellent, and the staff speaks very good French. The service is rapid, and the explanations are good. To my surprise, the level of spicy in a recipe can and will be tuned to fit the order, a spectacular difference, as Tuk Tuk offers what it is , and, if needed the waiting staff can pour you a dose from the same large bottle of pepper sauce I can get in my local supermarket. At Kohn Kaen there was always someone to ask if everything is okay, to bring a new bottle of fresh water, and when we have left both waiters bid us good bye. At Kohn Kaen the food is excellent. It is not the best Thai I have eaten, but it 's one of the better ones. And the ingredients are good, as much as one can see in the bowl of food: whole leafs, whole mushrooms."

It’s cheap for being in the middle of Evian so it’s a bargain. I liked my chicken curry but my wife wasn’t so happy with her food.

The food was good, we had the noodles which was yummy but the cashew nut was ok, the fried rice was really good. However the service was very slow

If you want to eat fresh, tasty Thai food without spending a fortune this is your place. Nothing fancy but honest, tasty amd VERY FRESH food. Great little spot.

Wonderful food at a cozy restaurant run by a hardworking French couple ? and a single chef. They were kind and took us in for dinner in a town where no one would serve us without a reservation. Food was fantastic. Veg friendly, kid friendly options available.

My friends and I decided to cross the lake for dinner and we were definitely not disappointed. Unlike Switzerland, authenticity actually means something on Evian. Le Tuk-Tuk brings you delicious and authentic Thai cuisine with perfect portions. Highly recommend the Pad Thai!

Most likely the best food for the price in Evian. Even though they were busy with a full house and togo orders, they were always responsive when you needed them. You can ask for the English menu but the small French menu has the recent price (they will try to explain this to you so might as well read it here so you'd understand). If you order the Pad Thai, it's either chicken or shrimp. It doesn't come with both like in the usa. The chicken egg rolls (Nem) are an amazing. Wrap a lettuce around it then dip it together into the fish sauce. The cashew chicken over rice was excellent. Can eat for 10 euros per person. Unheard of in Evian. Having previously been disappointed by the standard of Chinese and Thai food available in this part of France, we did not have high expectations of Le Tuk-Tuk, but were tempted by the reviews and by then how popular it always seemed when we walked by. Having eaten there tonight with my husband and 3 children, I am happy to report that this restaurant cooks very tasty and authentic Thai food, in pleasing surroundings, with efficient and pleasant service and at a staggeringly reasonable price. It is obviously thought highly of, with evidence of regular customers greeted warmly, and a very healthy take-away trade. We couldn't fault our meals in terms of taste and spice level.
