"The place feels more like a burger joint from the 50s than a modern restaurant. The guacamole was likely bought in a store, the fish was frozen in the middle and the vegetable dish had been micro-waved and was cold at the bottom. Pretty disappointing after reading the Fork reviews."

"An address to be noted in your notebook. A small restaurant just fine and greedy the perfect balance of flavors for lovers of gourmet and refined dish at once. "this was our 3rd stay in this beautiful hotel over a 25-year-old time span. it is one of our most unforgettable places. we were so glad that this wonderful facility is still in the possession of the same owner sandrine roti. the rooms are large, immaculate and full of history. eating is excellent! we stayed for 3 nights and booked the restaurant for 2 nights in advance. they were closed in the 3rd night or we would have booked it. we could visit outside to eat in the courtyard and watch the lights arrived on the hill. Previous visits we ate in the dining room with the kamin roaring. many thanks for another wonderful visit!"

"The verdict in one sentence: Immediate takeoff, Basque-colored setting and warm, sincere service. It was so divine that I almost forgot to take photos! Tested on a Saturday lunchtime. Chats and laughter as there were few of us [everyone at the beach! and ended up having the person in charge of the service to ourselves. We tested the croquettes as a starter but nothing like all those I was able to test in Barcelona. Another dimension. Tasty piece of beef for my mother while I enjoyed my foie gras as a main course accompanied by small artichokes and soft brioche. Then a deconstructed lemon dessert that I can't describe. The kind of creation that you can't reproduce at home. This is why it is better to treat yourself with a gastro rather than 5 mediocre restaurants. White wine by the glass because I like it dry, it fruity and that way no excess. I took the Jurançon extremely fresh as I like it. Beautiful tablecloths and napkins that reminded me of a shopping trip in St Jean de Luz. Small treats and quality coffee. Run there for a big occasion. Menu at 55 euros but we preferred to make our choice a la carte combined with the tapas menu. Found on TripAdvisor and booked via TheFork because I was looking for a restaurant not far from Vence with a very good rating."

"Nous y sommes allé ce jour lors de la visite du village de St Paul de Vence. Arrêtés dans cet établissement sans avoir consulté TripAdvisor... sur l'entrée nous ne sommes pas déçu, vraiment! Les salades sont travaillés à base de produits fait maison, le foie gras est un délicePassons au plat... à notre table nous avons choisi deux entrecôtes, un burger et un tartare et la tout à dégringoler les entrecôtes étaient à point alors que demander saignantes, le tartare était mouliné avec l'aspect d'un pâté plutôt qu'un tartare haché, il faut aimé mais nous avons été surpris car ce plat n'avait pas de goût... et le burger, et bien la viande était trop cuite mais on ne m'a pas demander la cuisson à la commande et le fromage manquait, dommage pour un "cheeseburger". Nous nous sommes arrête là dessus...dommage! Attention aux prix des boissons, 4€ le Ricard, 4€ les sodas servis en canette... En revanche l'accueil était top et souriant."
