"Lovely country pub with a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent and served hot. Rob and his wife were very welcoming and very friendly.Couldn't fault anything. We stayed with our friends for two nights on the campsite which at first didn't look great but actually loved it and would recommend the site, food and location to anybody. Nice walk along the footpath into Billingshurst about 30 minutes, lovely small village with good coffee shops pubs and shops. Dog walk field adjacent for off lead walks. Walkability: Easy walk along footpath to Billingshurst Food drinks: Excellent food good value and plenty of it. Lovely pint of London Pride and Guinness."

We had a wonderful evening visit with our dog. The candlelit atmosphere was lovely, though it did strain my eyes a bit after some time. The food was of high quality, and we will definitely be back! Service: 5 Location: 5

Service not great. The two behind the bar were constantly on there phones laughing at videos. I can only assume the child (6ish) was the owners child, running and making loads of noise in the bar area. As for the food, it was pretty tasteless to be frank. Nobody bothered to check to see if everything was alright during the meal which is very odd by today's standards. You'd think at a beautiful old place like this the owners would be a bit more concerned about customer service. Like most of their reviews also say, we won't be going back

I recently spent two weeks at the campsite and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The area felt overcrowded, with overgrown trees hitting our caravan. The entrance was particularly rough, filled with potholes that we were advised to dodge. One of the water taps was in a very unsanitary condition. Additionally, the owner's daughter would come into our awning without invitation and took my son's bike; I had to step outside and ask her to return it, as she refused to do so when he asked. The toilets and showers were also not very clean. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place and certainly wouldn’t return.
