"This used to be the place to go for a Chinese take away but not any more. Used them a while ago and it seems it had fallen well below the standards they set in the past. However, we thought we’d try again in case it was a one off. Yuk. I had the sweet and sour chicken while the wife had the Cantonese style chicken with egg fried rice. Chicken balls were rock hard and cracked when you tried to get a fork in them, clearly cooked hours ago. The same with the chips which were hard and blistered, presumably from old oil. They were too bad to eat so I cracked open a few of the chicken balls and chucked the chicken pieces to the dog. With no word of a lie he’s since been sick. The wife just binned hers as the Cantonese chicken was completely overdone and chewy. I don’t know what you’ve changed at Lims but I suggest you change it back before you either go bust with lack of sales or get shut down by the food standards people.. What a shame...."

Would not recommend. Yuk sung was especially bad, I have fed my dogs better from a can. Expensive to only worsening the experience further.

when i cut open a king prawn battered ball i could hardly find the prawn.....and that went for all the pieces.....will not be using lims again

not sure why Lims does not have good reviews, was recommended by a friend, excellent food service, give them a try, you will not be disappointed, i will definitely be using them again.

The staff that answered the phone to take the order was nothing short of rude ! I asked to pay by debit card and her reply was I’ll do it this one last time but never again as we’re busy and I’m needed in the kitchen ! Ver carta

The sweet and sour was neither, there was no taste at all. The rice was dry and the chow mein was greasy. Yes i know they are slightly different from each takeaway but I've never had one I've not enjoyed. This went in the bin as i couldn't eat it. Total waste of money.

Been getting my Chinese takeaway from here for years now and I've never had a bad word to say. Great service and food I'd always in time. The food is fab with a great range to choose from and is really good value for money. If you stuck for which Chinese to order from, then pick Lims

The food was warm, and came in a decent time the gravy over one meal had leaked all over the others. The pepper chips were raw on most of them, and very very oily. The rest of the meal was fine but portion size against what you were paying compare to other local places was really small. I dont think I will be using them again. Ver carta

ordered meal to be delivered, New Years Eve, 1 hour 30 minutes to arrived, which we knew about as they were busy and as lims always so good in past we were willing to wait. Meal arrived cold, prawn toasts full of grease not edible. No taste in the food, gelatinous texture to sweet and sour. All in bin. What has happened to Lims, it used to be so good, now rubbish,

Called tonight as I was close by for a Takeaway, and now I now why I stopped going!! My meal was Singapore fried rice which supposed to be spicy, this was bland and not spicy at all. Curry sauce was orange and like water, did not taste like curry sauce at all. Chips were not cooked both pale and hard. Threw it away and 15 minutes later on the toilet!!!!! The wife had Crispy chilli beef which came with the beef dry sitting on top of the sauce, and again was bland and tasted like yesterdays!! Never going again. Used to be so good but now the worst around.
