I had a great experience at Linden House on Saturday. The service was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating and knew how to have a good time. It was my first time dining there, and I will definitely be returning. The steak was delicious! Ver carta

The service was not great at this place. We waited over an hour for our food even though it wasn't busy at all. They said it was because everything was cooked fresh but some of the food clearly was not fresh. They also forgot basic things like a spoon for the soup. Overall not great experience. We just needed a place to stay for one night before continuing our trip to London as we landed late in Stansted. The hotel room was amazing. We had a breakfast included which we could choose from a menu with a good selection. It was super tasty. The stuff was lovely and so friendly. We definitely coming back in case we need a place to stay near the airport again! Stansted Mountfitchet station is just a 5min walk away. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. It fell far short of providing a fine dining experience, as the food was just average. The fillet steak I ordered medium rare was cooked medium, and the prawns were overcooked. The service was lacking, to the point where my husband had to go into the kitchen, where the staff were chatting, to ask for another glass of wine. Despite these shortcomings, the bill for four people totaled over £200, for a 3-course set menu on Father's Day. We only had 2 glasses of wine, soft drinks, and requested only 2 courses for the children, yet we were still charged for 3 courses.
