Lir Coast Grill - Carta

After being recommended by a friend, we decided to try out this restaurant and we were not let down. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the food selection and portion sizes were top-notch. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. Two friends who had special dietary requirements joined me for lunch on Sunday, February 4th, 2018. The meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The vegetarian option was especially tasty. I want to thank Dermott and our server Niall for their attentive service.

This restaurant is located within Cushendall Golf Club, with beautiful views of the sea and the golf course. You can comfortably eat your dinner in the bar or in the restaurant. As alway, excellent service by the staff, food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Food was enjoyed with excellent drinks from the bar, and the cost overall was very reasonable. We'll be back! I never write a negative post on Tripadvisor. This is the first. We were served some of the worst food I have eaten in a restaurant in the last couple of years. It was a genuine disrespect of quality fresh ingredients. Monkfish, sirloin steak, and the humble burger, potato, salmon and broccoli were all ‘murdered’. Shame on the restaurant. Service was non existent. The golf club should pay attention.

We were disappointed initially. It is based in a Golf Clubhouse, and it shows. Also, when we went in at 8pm, we were the only customers. A few more came in later. Overall the look of the place isn 't right. The staff were friendly though, and the food was delicious. It was only the previous day that my wife had announced that it was rare to get a good Indian curry unless you were in an Indian restaurant. Well she was wrong here. It was very classy and tasty. If they sort how the premises looks, this will be a solid 5 stars.

Visited here on Sunday evening during July. The restaurant is part of the local golf club so just follow the signs for that and the beach and it will be easy to find. Both bar and restaurant were busy on arrival but thankfully we were seated promptly. There is an extensive menu and a lot to choose from with a good variety of seafood, steak and chicken dishes. The starter of deep fried brie is accompanied by a fruit compote and a tasty side salad with a fresh pesto dressing. For main I had the seafood penne pasta which was a hearty portion with a generous offering of different fish. My partner had the chili chicken and chorizo pasta which again was tasty. We returned here after a terrible experience back in 2016, hoping it had improved. It hasn't. Still in need of a food and beverage supervisor only now the food isn't the best. We were one of two tables dining. There were no menus. Instead there was a specials board. I'm not sure how you can have a specials board without a menu. The kids options were rattled off to us. We ordered and our food arrived in a reasonable time. Unfortunately we hadn't been brought cutlery, condients or napkins so we each had to wait while the only waitress brought our plates in pairs and returned for the table settings. After reading many positive reviews, I was excited to try this restaurant. We arrived for our 7pm reservation, but by 7.05 we were still waiting to be seated. We were ignored by the staff, but my husband convinced me to stay as I really wanted to try the restaurant. We were eventually seated at a nice table overlooking the golf course and beach. However, we waited another 15 minutes for menus and another 15 minutes for our order to be taken, despite the restaurant not being very busy. We visited here to have the bar food. We we 're greeted by the waitress who quickly told us the restaurant was full. We explained that was Ok. We would eat in the bar. We were then handed A la Carte menus and spent the next five minutes completely confused because we had called earlier and were assured the bar food was being served. Only when we asked the waitress duds he acknowledge the bar food was available. She then brought us one menu between seven of us. The menu looked good. Six of us ordered off the bar menu. One from the a la carte. Dishes came with a side order of rice, potatoes or chips. The food came is reasonable time but we then found ourselves waiting for the rice to come out... Ver carta
