"We were a party of six who booked in for a late Sunday lunch. I cannot fault the service at all. All the people who served us were very friendly and one lady had some fun cheeky banter. The people who had the roast pork enjoyed it but those of us on the roast beef found the meat...processed/pre carved and heated up by the kitchen maybe, certainly not carved fresh from a lovely big joint there and then. Equally there was something awry with the potatoes they were tasty but they weren't cooked in the traditional way. They weren't crispy possibly deep fried. My daughter enjoyed her nut roast. My gipsy tart was as I remembered it from school days."

"The Sicilian is a handy, family-run restaurant in the seaside town of Deal (Kent) offering delicious food, cheaper eats, from snacks to meals, and some of the best and reasonably priced wine in town. Located just off the High Street, the Restaurant is small (bijou), with additional seating outside for your morning coffee or one of their home-made ices. I dine here once a month, for lunch with friends. We usually each opt for the simple range of Panini to Antipasti Pasta and (collectively) a bottle of their local (Sicilian) wine. Time permitting (priorities) perhaps we’d start with a shared plate of ‘antipasto misto’, cured meats or cheeses, not to forget ‘pane e olive’, a trusted and fine accompaniment to the wine. I have always felt that the judge of a good restaurant is the soup, and have never been disappointed, but various pastas are on offer, the ‘Cannelloni Ricotta a Spinaci’ delighted my friend, the ‘Lasagne’ was among the best I have ever sampled. The baked aubergine with tomato and mozzarella ‘Parmigiana’ is another favourite. There is also a selection of pizza to suite many diverse tastes. Although we have often commented on the lovely deserts and pastries on display, we have yet to take the plunge, but ‘watch this space’ The service is friendly, we feel at home, loving the mix of authentic tastes. At the weekend The Sicilian offers evening dining, the ‘specials’ board giving an extended view of this cuisine from southern Italy."

"The chicken Kahjani (green one) is amazing, full of spice and flavour. Chicken Kushboo was also very nice as was the spicy bombay aloo. It's a no thrills restaurant with lovely food, friendly staff, very clean and lots of space between tables. Don't be put off by the entrance in the car park. Highly recommend"

"we regularly come for family holidays and gave this little jewel an attempt to dinner for us. the restaurant is very cozy and has a beautiful atmosphere. we had a series of appetizers, among them ochsentail and framed, goat cheese...Salad, camembert, smoked salmon, sardines and the baptismal breast- all charming! for the net we had the calves leber, hammelbein, speck wrapped chicken breast, teriyaki steak, roasted parochus could not mistake these meal times, the taste and the quality was fantastic! only on the side we were so full we did not have space for puddings (all saw tasty) service was great and we will definitely come back. highly recommended!"

"Very friendly staff! Me and my boyfriend tried a new cider (see picture) and it was really tasty (sweet but not too sweet). I tried the scampis, it was fried and very nice. The scampis were served with chips and a fresh side salad. The place looks really cute. The dessert was amazing! I had a Belgium Waffle topped with ice cream. The waffle was served warm and tasted amazing with the ice cream."
