"We love the Macon area and visit often. We always stay in the hotel as a base when visiting vineyards and go downstairs for a reliably excellent meal. I just wish they would split up the menu a bit we seldom want or manage the pudding course, but even if you go a la carte, you still end up paying the same or more. The cooking is very competent and the portions of Foie Gras are pretty large!"

"Ce restaurant respire la chaleur humaine, la convivialité et l'authenticité. Il témoigne de son histoire au travers de photos noir et blanc, vieillies de plusieurs dizaines d'années que le patron vous contera avec plaisir. La cuisine et les tarifs sont à son image : Généreuse, goutue et très abordable ! La Patte d'Oie fait partie de ces étblissements dont on ressort le sourire aux lèvres et l'estomac rempli de saveurs simples mais bien travaillées. Une excellente étape sur la route des vins de Bourgogne !"

"Pros: fast service meals correct cooking well respected location very convenient, since in front of hotels Cons: The waiter (Fred didn't know what was the piece of steak served (tab, pear, merlan...) and instead of going to ask the chief, he simply told us that he didn't know. The server was generally very unfriendly. They certainly have badges with us are concentrated, the smile is inside written, but it does not justify everything; presentation of plates and a little disappointing"

"This well-appointed restaurant is next door to the Ibis Bistro and serves travellers staying at the many nearby hotels. The environment is lovely, a nice mix of outdoor and indoor tables and the cooking area is visible under a domed roof. Our first waiter was quick and friendly. Within minutes we had a bottle fresh local rose and our main courses arrived shortly after. Burgers were plain but well cooked, plentiful chips but no extra effort with side salad or dressing. We waited half an hour for our plates to be cleared while watching the poorly organised service. The staff themselves were smiley and pleasant, but there was no plan or structure. We had at least four different servers and they were not allocated to specific tables. When they eventually arrived, our desserts were delightful (creme caramel and a peach compote) but we then waited another hour for our dessert plates to be cleared. It took two attempts to request coffee by which time we wanted to leave, having spent over two hours at our table with very little staff attention. Sadly, we left no tip. This could be a superb restaurant if someone took charge of how it is run. Next time, we’ll try the Bistro next door..."
