"Stayed here with friends. Sarah, her husband and mom all made us really welcome. They told us all about the history of the area and how welcomed the locals made them feel went they took the inn over. We arrived on the Sunday evening we...ate beforehand as they were not doing meals on that particular Sunday but had a few drinks in the bar and felt most welcome. Sarah, the landlady, told us all about the local area and it’s attractions. The breakfast the next morning was huge and some of us struggled to eat it all. The inn just minutes from the National Showcaves, Craig-y-no’s Castle and Country Park and Henrhyd Waterfall which was featured in the Batman movie. Both the Showcaves and Castle were closed when we were there so we will return to the area, once Covid rules are relaxed, and stay at the Copper Beech Inn again."

"I ordered a carbonara, but it was nothing like the classic dish. Instead of the traditional ingredients like egg, pork or bacon, and cheese, I received tagliatelle with cream, pepper, and paprika, topped with some cold cheese. This is not what a carbonara should be, and it shouldn’t be called that. After a long journey, I was really hungry, and under different circumstances, I would have sent it back. While it’s a decent dish that one might quickly make at home, it’s akin to ordering a margherita pizza and ending up with cheese and tomato on toast. On a positive note, the vibe and the staff were great. Food: 2, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 4."

"Really poor food I'm afraid. Steak was full of sinew, very chewy, cooked very raw when asked for medium well, peas tasted very strange, pie tasted stale and tasteless. Beer also poor, asked for a pint and a pint of shandy, the pint tasted very much like the shandy but was assured it was beer, in which case it tasted appalling. Paid for extra bacon on our boy's pizza but hardly any was added. And for the poor quality it was extremely expensive. Food: 1"

"Just because this is not a fully vegan/vegetarian place I can't give this five stars on this app. Well, it deserves five. Lovely vibe, great staff and excellent food. Heaps of vegan/vegetarian options and they even double check with you if something isn't completely vegan or has allergy-type ingredients. A nice selection of beers and ciders on tap too as well as a full bar. You can ask to sample the taps first they offered before I had to ask! An amazing gem to discover in the UK and really really reasonably priced. I wish this place many years of awesomeness, thank you for giving me a break food-wise through this trip. 11/10."
