L'Oliverade - Menú

I was informed, moreso coaxed, by my carnivorous family that this was the best burger in the Lone Star state.

Food: I ordered a cheeseburger with fries, along with a vanilla milkshakeThe burger was sooo good! They cooked the meat so it was tender and juicy.

update for the oliverade. They have now moved, just in front of the original restaurant. the restaurant now has more seats, but the quality and service are always as good. I eat there with a vegetarian friend, who likes to eat something different from the omelette and fries that is the usual "vegetarian option" in this field!

super selection of charcuterie and also great to eat a little at lunch time with a glass of Italian wine. it is very small inside (only 3 tables), so beautiful when it is cold outside, but in summer outdoor space. It is a charming little Italian grocery store that also serves food at lunch time. There are some tables with high stools inside the store and half a dozen tables outside (so not really a winter destination). The pasta is very good and my husband tried the steak tartare (steak chopped raw) here for the first time and it was really good. friendly staff.

If you visit the bayeux tapestry and want a good lunch, avoid all the tourist places too expensive. there is a parking lot next to this super caviste/restaurant. We parked there and fortunately, we noticed it and decided to eat there when we returned. We had the pasta of the day and an Italian salad, both were perfect, the service and the atmosphere were perfect and the price is very reasonable. I can't believe there's no more criticism.

It is a charming restaurant / grocery next to the apple square in the heart of bayeux. No, the owner is not Italian, but the spirit, food and wine are certainly in the mix. There are all kinds of nice options on the menu. service is charming and food is very good. some can find it a little expensive and they would be right. parking is easy, there is always the possibility to buy takeaway products at home. their tartar is excellent, hand-cut in the purest Italian style. there is not a huge number of tables, so it is always better to book.

your choice of three menus, two homemade pasta, the other one home anipasi plate, that's what I chose. The meal includes bread, a glass of wine, then a dessert (a selection of Italian cakes, also exquisite), and coffee or tea. all for 12€, which makes it a good deal for bayeux. There is also a correct child menu. the restaurant can accommodate 12 people; it is located in the shop, which offers Italian dishes and other refined products. I strongly recommend this place. the owner clearly loves what she does and gives good advice on products.

The oliverade is a little jewel. a wonderful Italian fine grocery store - a rarity itself in provincial france, with fantastic fresh pasta and anti-pasti to take away, but also an excellent restaurant for lunch. this place is only open on the noon and has only about 10 seats inside but about 20 to 25 outside. my husband had a charolais steak tartare with tagliatelles and a green salad that, although a slightly strange combination, was exceptional. I had chicken ravioli with green salad and balsamic vinaigrette. It was a refreshing change compared to the creamy and standard Norman cuisine and I will certainly take friends to visit in a few weeks, as well as ourselves whenever we visit bayeux....
