"we were several times for Sunday dinner at the care and were always satisfied with the service and eating. last Sunday they must have had problems with the staff, as it did not seem particularly busy. I had booked a table the day before when we arrived, we had to wait for our table, which was not a problem, but I noticed after 20 minutes that they had taken other people directly to the restaurant, it seemed that they had forgotten about us, so I had to ask, we were then sitting. Unfortunately, the food service was very slow, where it is not normally. After 45 minutes I had to follow our food order again. eating was nice as it is usually, and the staff was very apologetic. I'm sure it was just a blip and we're gonna go back."

"This is my first visit to Millers Arms in the Village of Mather. It is a lovely place for a drink or a meal with plenty of tables inside and in the garden area. Hand sanitise is available as you enter and face masks must be worn in the bar area. The tables and seating is all socially distanced. Friendly staff warm and welcoming. Menu has a lovely selection of food for all appetites. The Gammon, peas, 2 eggs and tripple fried chips was excellent. I would recommend this meal. There is a large Marquee outside in the garden if you want to sit outside and it starts to rain. A children's play area with a climbing frame and slide are just at the side of the garden. There is a small car parking area in front but at the back of The Miller Arms is a large parking area that you can access every area on the flat no need for steps. I certainly will be visiting again, try it for yourself... well worth it."

"I've been going to the village inn for a few years now, and the atmosphere, staff and management have always been friendly and welcoming. The food has improved a lot in the past year, not saying that it's been poor before, but it's very good now. We have Sunday lunch there and they have a wide selection of meats, and the size is more than enough. The most important thing is that it's cooked hot, and it's very well prepared and very nice! I have even brought friends over to try it out and they agree."

"Entrance is down a flight of steps as the restaurant is in the basement/cellar and it's made to look like a cavern. A row of bench tables to seat 4 down either side. Wasn't very busy on our visit, which was a first for my wife and I but not for the other couple. An extensive menu, which took a while, so popadums and pickles, sauces and onion salad was required to help make choices and when it arrived there was no disappointment as all plates were clear. Great food at a great price, will be planning to make a return visit."

"we regularly go to the wine bar on the river to Sunday dinner, to special occasions and only to drink. a nice friendly staff. beautiful cozy open fire in winter and amazing flow in summer this place has everything. Food quality, portion size and choice and wine list is not available. recently renovated, but still the wonderful atmosphere and friendliness it still has."
