"What a relief that there were probably 8-10 vegetarian options with most of them being vegan-clearly listed together on the menu. I ordered the Schiro which was like a chickpea puree with spices on the Ethiopian bread. It was one of the few spicy dishes...listed. While I like things REALLY spicy, it was very flavorful but not ‘hot spicy’, and was just perfect even though I typically get more ‘spicy hot’ foods. My meal was 6.55 euro. My friends got a sampler platter that included some vegan options. On their plate the vegan options were pleasant in presentation and tasted great! Nice portion sizes, decent prices for downtown. Quaint restaurant. Not sure why it was so hot inside, it was definitely warm. They were very busy for a weekday evening. We had a great time and if I am ever back in town, I will return for sure!"

The reception and the service is at its best, very friendly and helpful. Clean and well decorated, food very delicious and cocktail tasteful. I highly recommend this restaurant to all visitors to Mainz.

Delicious meal, many vegetation options. Can be served as individual plates, or in traditional Ethiopian style with the dishes on a communal serving plate atop ngera bread to be used to eat with one's fingers.

the foods were so delicious and I recommend the teller for 2 people. so they can try all the different types of meal together. the wine brand comes from Africa, so that they also experience new flavors for wein.

We had a wonderful dinner. Food was great and service even better. The people is very charming. I own a restaurant quite well known. It means nothing, but i may say to be quite an espert in food and service as i do this job...since 35 years ! Congratulations to this beautiful people and a well deserved compliment

My friends and I come here often, and are consistently happy with the food and service. We always get the family-share style platter in which they serve 6 different dishes on a large basket and you use pieces of bread to scoop up the food...for eating. I love this because it's so much more social when everyone is able to talk about the same foods, what they like the most, etc. And the food is so good with very unique flavors/spices!

I went there recently with a Group of friends and really enjoyed the food. Its better to make a reservation. As a starter i had the mixed plate. The best falafel i ever had. My friend ordered eggplant paste. Although i'm not a friend of...it, it was delicious. We were all together 6 people and had the mixed plate, which was huge and more than enough. The friendly waitresses informed us, what was what and also which dishes were spicy. Breads were served seperately and we could ask for more. You could eat with your hands or ask for a fork. We all decided to come here again.

the entire impression is: very good eating pampered by moderate service. the latter recalls the restaurants in the tourist areas italiens, where the employees seem indifferent to the guests. when we arrived, there was no grue, no recognition, but then we were told. we were on a table for five and that would not do (we were two, in this phase the restaurant was empty.) when we promised to move if necessary we were allowed to stay. eating is really delicious, simply avoid “espresso” after that, which tastes like water. it was also a pity that while we were there, there were no Africans in this African restaurant, neither guests nor employees.

"twice we were in the patagonia in mainz, at the opening on the 15th March and as we liked it so well, again on the occasion of our high season on the 31st March. the first visit we made with our three little children and it was as it should be, that is, unproblematic. we came in and felt comfortable. the ambiente is so heartless. there are food for children, a high chair, place in restaurant, so that the children can walk around, the hosted outdoor area is closed with a forte – you are child-loving. the restaurant was well visited, yet eating quickly and hot on the table. the meat was very tasteful outside chess inside tender and juicy (rib eye and rumpsteak,) the finely prepared supplements underline the taste, with a red wine merlot or cabernet sauvignon the experience. during the second visit we had an salat and empanadas after the classic freshly prepared aperitif pisco sour as an appetizer, and on request a compilation of all: empanadas de queso, empanadas de pino and empanadas de camarón – queso all of it. the salat ensalada perales con queso (mixed salat with gorgonzolabällchen in mangochutney, weinbirnen, pistazien and balsámico walnut oil) is an unusual but a very successful harmonious taste experience. then the steaks: lomo puerto varas (rib eye 220g) and lomo torres del paine (rumpsteak 350g) again outside chess and inside tender and juicy – also the 350g piece. the meat comes from chile and is chilenic, medium is standard, prepared. with the spicy supplements and matching wein this time the excellent pinot noir expresión reserve 2009 a pleasure. due to the experience of the first visit we have deliberately not ordered the filet (because you know it is perfect, has to be perfect) because we wanted to know how to deal with normal meat. conclusion: you can and indeed very well! the desserts papaya chilena (chilenic papaya filled with mascarpone cream and skyberry sauce) or helado de miel de ulmo (ice from ulmenhon with poppy and skyberry sauce) then represent a successful conclusion with an excellent coffee. a few small things are to be improved to get to perfection; as always at restarts of restaurants that are not part of a chain that individually start from ground. but the passion, the heart for the thing is clear to see and feel: you are really special on the best way."

"Pizzeria Popeye Why do you call a pizzeria after a whirlpool? I find no indication, especially the operators are real Italians. Was Popeye Italian? I don't think so. At least there are some dishes with spinach on the map. But from the front... This small pizzeria lives mainly from delivery and collection. No one is lost in this corner of Bretzenheim. Neither a sign shows here, nor can you see it remotely, simply hidden in the middle of the residential and office blocks. I noticed when I bought rolls nearby. My lady was sworn twice with friends and from the fresh pasta. Then it can't be that wrong. The ambience is, how should I describe it? Let me know.
