Great homecooked authentic Indian food, seasoned/spiced to perfection. Offered 2 types of spicy: German spicy or Indian spicy. Menu stated that cooking would be slow as everything is made from ground. The dish was €16 and included rice AND naan.

The maharaja has been there for a long time and it is still one of the best Indian restaurants in Göttingen. Wide selection of vegetarian dishes, vegan variants are possible. The food is extremely delicious, the portions absolutely fine, the staff friendly.
