Maharaja - Carta

Fair priced restaurant with a wide variety of South Indian dishes. My order was prepared fast. The serving was professional, including free papadum and mango liquor. The mulligatawny soup (also called Maharaja or mixed soup on the menu) was excellent.

On a cold snowy-night, they took my order and had my food at my room within minutes. It was hot and delicious. The food was not too spicy and the portions were generous, where my wife and I had another full meal the next...day. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I had the Chicken Saag and Prantha. I can’t tell the difference between Prantha and Naan. My wife had the chicken Tikka Marsala. She wouldn’t get it again. Portions are large enough to have lunch the next day. I don’t know if they take cards,...call before you get there. Ver carta

in a cold, snowy night they accepted my order and had my food within 25 minutes on my room. it was hot and delicious. the food was not too sharp and the portions were generous where my wife and I had another full meal the next day. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

the food was ok, and the ice cream was amazing and what changed my rating from stars to was the mango shot they gave us for free at the end, not only that but they gave my kid a some kind of kid...shot which was really cute. The service was extremly slow which was a super negative for me because my kid started geting tired.

TripAdvisor should know that this restaurant’s name has changed years ago to “Shiva’s Palace” (same address)! One more Indian restaurant, another town... Three of us had a very interesting dish: a combination of sorts of lentils with spinach (Dal Punjabi). Excellent! Two friends...took from the buffet quite large portions and were happy too. The personnel is kind and efficient. A lovely atmosphere, which enabled us to sit for long time and have nice discussions. Important also, that the restaurant has quite a few parking places. we have been in maharaja (or now shiva palace) several times or have claimed the delivery service. it was always very good. from the outside the restaurant does not look very welcoming, but inside it is very beautifully authentic. the food was always very tasty and also the service was very good. what I like very well: in winter an evening buffet is offered, where you can sneak through the culinary delights in the heart. Since there are now three inders in amberg, the air becomes ever thinner, but I hope that all three restaurants can stay.

eating was great, but it lacked the surprise of true excellence. the banan chicken was very tasty, but it was not sharp and sharp as it indicated the menu (and I wanted). the garlic naan was very good, but at the edges something burned. the atmosphere was exaggerated with Indian things and cozy. the service was appropriate, but it lacked attention and language skills. Unfortunately, the normal staff we had heard of seemed to be on holiday. a very good Indian restaurant for amberg. I recommend it to others and will come back outside the holidays.

The garlic Naan was very good but a little burned at the edges. The...atmosphere was over the top with Indian things and cozy. The service was adequate, but lacking in both attention and linguistics. Unfortunately it appeared that the normal staff, that we had heard many great things about, were on holiday. Overall, a very good Indian restaurant for Amberg.
