"A charming little Vietnamese restaurant. We happened upon it whilst wandering the quiet streets north of Hackescher Markt and thought we'd give it a try even though it was a bit too early for an evening meal, and we certainly weren't disappointed. We all had Pho to start - noodle soups stand or fall on the quality of the stock, and Manngo's was a good one - fragrant, zesty, with a hint of mint. A very (!) nice way to start the meal. Then we all opted for chicken saté - we were tired after a long day exploring central Berlin, mainly on foot, and were perhaps lacking in imagination - the waiter certainly thought it was funny. Still it was a very good saté - with a generous portion of thinly battered flavoursome thin chicken fillets, which had a very nice crisp bite, and a delicate coconut saté sauce (one of the best saté sauces I've had) . I would have liked there to have been more of this sauce actually, to flavour the noodles and salad which the chicken was served with (beyond a few crumbled peanuts) - I ended up asking for some soy sauce, and adding some of the nice (but super hot!) pickled chillies which were provided on the table. In terms of cost/quality ratio this must be one of the best value meals in Berlin (leaving currywurst out of the equation!) as it only cost €10 per head, although the final bill was €40 for 3, including drinks - oh yes, probably best not to drink the wine as the Chardonnay that my wife ordered was not very good at all."
