"Everything was very average. Bar was busy but we were met with are u a function? The red wine was poured very sloppily and spilt at base of the glass. Not noticed by the staff and when a serviette was requested to clean up it was handed to me Roger in with. None of the waiters/waitresses were particularly knowledgeable about the food. When the main course arrived it was presented by the waitress as 'who 's having fish '. We asked for a jug of water but glasses were poured no jug left and when one of us asked for a refill only one person in the table topped up before the waitress left totally ignoring 3 requests. When she did return to the table after managing Roger her attention her face said she wasn 't happy. We asked for a 10 minute break after the main course before having desert but then got asked a further 3 times in about as many minutes. It feels like the restaurant hangs in the name. Nothing special."

Three out of four members of our group left the restaurant feeling hungry because of the subpar food and lack of service. We will not be returning.

The restaurant was empty and lacked any ambiance, and the food was quite average. The service was good, and the staff were polite and friendly, but we were the only customers in there by the end. I would not choose to dine there again.

We recently visited this restaurant in its new form as a steakhouse. Besides the updated menu, not much else seemed to be different. The ambiance was calm and relaxed, and the service was top-notch. And, of course, the steaks were absolutely delicious.

This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel and had dinner and lunch, and as always the food was excellent value, well prepared and delicious! Service is always good with helpful smiling staff. Can thoroughly recommend. The setting is lovely, and we were surprised that there were not more people dining. Will definitely come back again.
