"Beautiful pub, loved the decor and taken a great deal of pride in their Christmas Decorations. We were having a rare family get together for brunch. Having waited over an hour for our food, whilst watching others come in, order food and leave having eaten. Our food eventually arrived.... cold, the toast was brought before the rest of the food and that was already cold. The one before last meal arrived which my husband said wasn't too bad, although the chips were mainly burnt and inedible. We eventually decided to complain to a very rude barmaid who made some unprintable remarks to a man sitting at the bar. Because I prefer my tea with my meal, I didn't drink it, expecting my meal, eventually asking her to pop it in the microwave, which she did, but to be honest would have been better to have to made me a fresh one. By this time everyone had either eaten or not bothered because how cold it was and mine never arrived at all. Yes we did get a part refund and won't be returning. At no time did the barmaid/waitress come over and apologise for the delay or warn us that it was a long wait. In terms of pubs and cafes I would say they were not particularly busy, constant but not busy. They need to take a trip to The Racing Greyhound and see how a pub/restaurant is run."

Great atmosphere with live music. Nice pub in general, staff polite and friendly. Clean, good choices of beers, well worth a visit. Get your dancing shoes on.

Nice food and plenty of. Although this was our third choice of meals as the tuna wasnt on the menu and the last fish and chips had been sold, at 12.20 ?? Anyway that small detail to one side , the food was tasty and extremley good value. We shall return. Lovely decor and clean.

This restaurant is a lovely and clean pub with unique wooden tables that have glass in the middle (you need to see it to understand). The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the food is good. We enjoyed the fish and chips. The video jukebox on the walls was a nice touch. The restaurant is centrally located and is dog-friendly.

Staying in Ramsgate for the first time and this pub was next to our hotel. Came in for the evening and was impressed. We received a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar who was v helpful. The decor is pretty cool and so many things to look at including the tables ! Take a look to see . Ordered pizza which was excellent value for money and enjoyed by everyone. I would recommend a visit

Fantastico pizza! I am a very very fussy customer when it comes to pizza. it has to arrive piping hot, it did. It has to have topping all over the pizza, right to the edge, it did. It has to be a nice, cooked, thin base, it was. It has to be big, and flavourful, it was. It has to be value for money…. it most definitely was! I can wholeheartedly recommend The Mariners Bar as a great place to go for a pizza and a drink…. it really was fantastico!

My wife and I spontaneously decided to stop by Mariners Bar for lunch. We were delighted by the variety of options on the menu. I decided to try the Thai red chicken curry from their Specials board, while my wife opted for the BBQ chicken pizza. Both dishes were served promptly and were fresh and hot. I absolutely loved my curry, and my wife said it was the best pizza she's had in a long time. We will definitely be returning to Mariners Bar and highly recommend it.

I visited the Mariners Bar this morning for breakfast before leaving Ramsgate. It was my first time at this venue and I was impressed by the Christmas decorations inside. We chose this place because they allowed dogs, which was convenient since we were staying next door at the Travel Inn for 2 nights. My wife and I both had the full English breakfast, which included sausages, bacon, mushrooms, beans, fried eggs, toast, and tea. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. Our dog even enjoyed a bowl of water and some bacon and sausage from my plate. The waitress was friendly and made us feel welcome. If we ever return to Ramsgate, we will definitely come back to this venue because of their al...

So this is shame, I have been to the Mariners for lunch with my father in law who lives in Broadstairs a few times and we have had a lovely time and the food has been great, but unfortunately the last couple of visits the service has been shocking, I have felt very unwelcome, the latest being this evening I brought my sister for a drink thinking the mariners would warm and welcoming, what a mistake!! We walked in and had to squeeze in at the bar and then the blonde young barmaid basically ignored us and proceeded to top up locals with their drinks without acknowledging us at all, so we waited patiently and then another local spilt his pint so she obviously that meant he should also be served...

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
