Had only a beautiful curry with the family before decommissioning and watching England win the euro (hopefully)! Food was amazing, service impeccable, all employees were so attentive and patient with the children on their own table, and I even have the beautiful glass pot my dessert came to hold! Must admit, never had a Dessert Post Curry before, was delicious! Thank you in the Masoom for a great evening!

This is our favourite sit down curry restaurant in Southend but too far away for a take-away delivery. The atmosphere is always warm and friendly and bookings are essential for weekends as they get busy. The food is always good and my wife who doesn 't like spicy food can always find something she likes. My favourite is Shami Kebab followed by Chicken Tikka Dhansak with mushroom pilau and Garlic Naan washed down with a large Cobra or Kingfisher Beer.

Service was good and the food was nice. A pint of Kingfisher was £5, chicken korma £8.75, plain nan £2.95, lemon rice £3.95 and an ice cream dessert £4.25. My only complaint is that a tip was automatically added to the bill. I find this practice to be rude; the decision to give a tip (and how much to give) should be entirely up to the guest. I suspect they do this knowing that most people are too embarrassed to ask for it to be removed, or hope that people don't notice.
