Matière à... - Carta

This Paris newcomer has a tasty future ahead of it. We ate well on our recent Paris trip but Matière à won us over.

I really wanted to try Matière à during our one week in ParisWe arrived 15 minutes early and politely waited for them to open.

We had dinner at Matière à and it was excellent. The food was creative and well executed. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient. Nice place

the dishes were at the height of the expectations, and (although the appearance of the restaurant) fairly consistent. we opted for an entry menu, fish dish, meat dish and dessert or cheese. I highly recommend you the zucchini handcuff! otherwise the service was suitable, no more. conviviality is not at the rendezvous but well-educated and harmonious plates in the mouth, yes. Ver carta

visited during a short stay in Paris, with friends. the place really surprised me in a positive way: - small nice place (better to book,) with one table for all customers - really super menu, with a limited number of choices (and I think almost every night) - quality ingredients and very elaborate preparations - excellent selection of wines - attentive and prepared staff - good ratio quality price (menu tasting - entrance, meat dish, fish dish and dessert - to 46€)

room with a long table way host table. sitting next to other customers except one or two tables near the window. menu or menu tasting (to try servings are suitable and it allows to taste more dishes.) inventive and delicious cuisine. The end of the table is close to the kitchen where the chef activates under your eyes. a little loud on the preparations, but it doesn't prevent a conversation. Special mention for the wine list: white jasnier and red arbin world. Good value for money given the quality of the products.

Stumbled on the restaurant just before 10pm after a few places refused to serve us as it was getting late and I was not disappointed - the food was fresh (helped by the fact there seems to be only 1 tasting menu a day), creative, modern french cuisine. That day we had a delicious half cooked foie gras, an excellent mi-cuit of tuna, a great veal tartar and a yummy apricot/white chocolate desert. Tasting menu is just under EUR50 (at least that day) and well worth it for what you get. As ever drinks are not cheap, but that's a common pb in Paris. Would happily visit again during my next trip to Paris (and book ahead as the place is tiny!) Ver carta
