The restaurant offers good dishes, although some are overpriced and the service is sometimes not the best (a bit confused). Located inside Hotel Viest.

The seppia nero tasted briny just as it should. The risotto was excellent and creamy. The tuna tartare was very tasty and the frittura mista was good if a little tough and skimpy on fish. Worth another trip but it needs a bit more to raise its level.

I had the scallops one was warm with a cream sauce and the other was sliced, cold and served with aspergillosis. Even the cold scallop was great which really surprised being I am not a fan of cold seafood. I had the chicken and potatoes for the main course and goodness there was flavor beyond flavor in every single bite

Have woken this morning with a headache caused by my overindulgence of the lovely wine at Mezzaluna restaurant. The menu for this place is a step above what I would expect for a restaurant attached to a business hotel. Excellent wine list (to my detriment! and an inventive menu which had me wishing I had eaten here the night before. I enjoyed a tagliatelle with truffle and mushrooms folloed by the braised pork cheek with wild spinach (hard to know how wild it was, maybe just a little reckless in its youth? . Can recommend Mezzaluna for your stay at the Viest Hotel.

We have been here a few times in the last couple of weeks. Staff were ok but not especially attentive. Not a negative but not a big positive either. The caprese was ok but tomatoes are not in season yet. Should be more flavourful next month. Pasta dishes are excellent, particularly the fresh tuna with sea urchin sauce. Fried Adriatic seafood basket was delicious. The bartender deserves a medal as does one of the morning breakfast staff. They brightened the place up. The meals in the evening were solid and worth it. The presence of a few members of the staff almost lifted the entire rating. Recommended.

First of all, the pizza was AMAZING!!! The rest of the menu, not so much. We had this 2 nights in a row (we didn’t have a car, so we had limited options for dinner) so we gave them a good chance to impress us. As per photo, the codfish looked like a mess. I complained that the codfish smelt like a sewer but the waitress said that’s the way it is since it’s a lake fish. I had the lobster pasta the night before, but that wasn’t fresh at all. Also had the pork which was very very tough and possibly too well done. The smoked potato soup was a nice touch though. Just order the pizza, it was genuinely delicious and worth the price.
