"My wife and I dined in Ristorante Michelangelo on a busy Friday evening – the restaurant was packed and it was very noisy. We had an antipasto sharing board to start, which had a selection of cold meats with sundried tomatoes, and it was delicious....For our main course, my wife had a pizza and I had spaghetti bolognaise (you cannot get much more Italian than that Both were excellent, as were the tiramisu and panna cotta we had for dessert. It was a lovely meal, but rather spoiled by a very noisy party of six who were sitting right in the middle of the restaurant. One couple asked to be moved to another table to get away from them, but this was not possible as all the smaller tables were situated around the large central table. Perhaps the restaurant should consider putting large parties more out of the way to enable other diners to fully enjoy their meals."

Dropped in after getting ferry to Ryde, decent choice of light lunch snacks, friendly service reasonable prices. Located near the pier.

I really enjoyed my spaghetti carbonara but the portion size was too small. I also enjoyed my chocolate torte, but it was the most money I've ever paid for a dessert! staff was friendly

Enjoyable lunch potato and pumpkin soup for starter, spaghetti with tiger prawns and tomatoes for main plus a very pleasant glass of Montepulciano. Very prompt and friendly service, nice decor, what's not to like!

Dinner and drinks pre football game and although we hadn't booked we were welcomed. Prompt and polite service. We had 3 pizzas and a pasta dish followed by 2 desserts and everything was perfect. I wish we had time to try it more!

Called in for early evening dinner without booking. Staff very welcoming and felt this was a family run restaurant. Menu was unpretentious and food very well presented. Good reasonably priced wine list and would certainly recommend.

Started to walk past this restaurant but looked in and saw what diners were eating. Chose the lunch time menu of roasted aubergines and pumpkin ravioli, umh umh! Both dishes came with warm ciabatto. Service excellent, restaurant pretty full. Deffo going back.

We chose this restaurant based on TA reviews, and yet again not disappointed. Seems to be a proper family Italian restaurant. The display of many Italian products and ingredients made an appealing backdrop. Service was friendly and efficient, and our party of 4 all enjoyed...pasta dishes with plenty of ciabatta alongside. Too full for a dessert, but selection looked quite tempting. As its only a short walk away from the hovercraft terminal, ideal for visitors like ourselves from the mainland. Would definitely return

Upon entering, you’re hit with the warm air of this cozy restaurant and the beautiful scent of warm bread and other delicious foods. The staff were very friendly, explained the specials to us and gave us and extensive menu full with uniquely exciting options. Michelangelo...Restaurant also sells high quality Italian foods and ingredients which cannot be found in any supermarket. The starter was impressive, home-made bread with three cheeses melted on top, truly delicious. Another starter (more expensive) was a seafood soup composed of squid, prawns, muscles, etc. The mains were equally impressive: an artisan pizza topped with a range of cured meats and black olives and a rich chicken and mus...
