I had the quinoa and beetroot burger in pitta bread which was quite nice but about average. No dessert options.

We were greeted warmly and enjoyed excellent wine and high-quality food at this restaurant. The hospitality was outstanding and we are grateful for the great service. The location and hotel highlights were both exceptional, offering great value.

This charming and welcoming pub on Roman Road is a hidden gem. The food is delicious, but please note that only dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating area. Nearby attractions include Hadrian's Wall. Service and location both receive a perfect score of 5.

Starting off with the potato skins drizzled with a savory garlic chili dip was a great choice. For the main course, I enjoyed a tasty vegan stew and vegan burger. The restaurant offers additional plant-based options listed on the chalkboard. Overall, the dishes were straightforward and satisfying.

There was only one vegan option, a vegan burger, and one vegetarian option, a veggie burger. Both dishes appeared identical with a slightly different patty. There was no vegan cheese on either. We had checked the menu on their Facebook page beforehand and were anticipating more choices, but were disappointed to find a more limited menu upon arrival. The only additional option for kids was quorn nuggets as a small plates option, but unfortunately, there were no desserts available.

We visited a charming, secluded restaurant and called ahead to inquire about vegan options for a Sunday roast. They offered a delicious vegan cottage pie with potatoes, vegetables, and gravy, as well as a vegan curry. To our delight, we discovered they had vegan fruit crumble and even vegan ice cream on the menu. Across the road from the restaurant, we saw cows in a field and took the opportunity to say hello and feed them some grass. Even though we prefer to see cows in a free or rescue setting, we always enjoy interacting with them and expressing our apologies for the mistreatment they often face from humans. Ver carta
