A total find and real gem of a pub. Beautiful beer garden and quirky interior. Fab food with several vegan choices on the menu and dog-friendly. 5 Stars all the way.

Lovely cosy pub with roaring log fire. Had a fabulous meal of haddock goujons followed by liver and bacon for me and steak and kidney pie for hubby. All delicous and served by very friendly staff. Shame we live so far away or we'd be here every week.

Absolutely fabulous birthday meal. The starter was delicious ham hock Bon’s Bon’s, followed by a melt in the mouth steak with port and Stilton sauce which was amazing and a sumptuous bread and butter pudding. We even couldn’t get enough of the cucumber infused water. 5 stars from us. Ver carta

since 2010 we come here twice in the year of minipauses and celebrates. What do you want me to say? eating, service and general ambiente are getting better. I didn't think you could improve the perfection, but you can. anouska, andy and her team are so inviting. that is ingenious and the gin and tonics are dying. massive dog friendly and my two are made to feel like vip’s. this place is worth a visit and I promise to them as soon as they go, they will return. I love this place.

we found this pub by pure accident 2 years ago during one of our holidays in cornwall and I can tell them that it was the best we have ever done! my man (and our family, and the dog loves to visit traditional pubs in our vacations or weekends, and I can assure them that this pub in our top list is without a doubt one of the BEST pubs we have ever visited in england! the place has a unique atmosphere (very old building with quirky floors/rooms,) eating is excellent, the staff is sooo friendly and make them so welcome! I can't owe it! If you've never been there, please do it!

Two years ago, during one of our holidays in Cornwall, we stumbled upon this pub by pure accident and it turned out to be the best decision we ever made! My husband, our family, and even our dog all love visiting traditional pubs during our vacations and weekends, and I can confidently say that this pub is now at the top of our list as one of the best pubs we have ever visited in England. The place has a unique atmosphere with its very old building and quirky floors and rooms. The food is excellent, the staff is extremely friendly, and they made us feel so welcome. I can't recommend it enough! If you haven't been there yet, you must go check it out. Ver carta
