"MIO was a restaurant we visited last year and had a great time and so on our latest holiday to Berlin we couldn't wait to go here again. This restaurant looks cool especially at night when illuminated,a modern restaurant with great decor and furnishings and an awesome outside terrace ,it's location under the Fernsehturm ( Berlin TV Tower ) is spectacular, this really is one cool place to visit. We were here on a Monday afternoon and Mio was just starting to get busy,we took a table outside were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of beers and we opted to have that most German of beers namely Warsteiner and these beers were served freezing cold and we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular restaurant. The beer was superb and although on this visit I cannot comment on the meals as we were only here for drinks but I have ate here before and the meals are pretty good especially the pizza menu.We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Mio is really easy to locate on Panoramastraße,directly under the tower.Opening hours are;Monday to Sunday,10am till very late. A cool restaurant and bar and well worth checking out."

Experience went bad. Cold nachos with raw chicken. Extremely bad food. Typical tourist trap. Your money is well spent at any other place than at the MIO

The food was average. The outside seating area was nice, cool, and quiet. The service was not bad until the waiter asked us for tip when he presented the bill. We would have tipped but left a much smaller tip because he asked for it.

The evening was pleasant so we sat outside. The service was good, however the food not that great. I love spaghetti a la carbonara and order it every time I see it. This order had no egg, which might have been okay if there was a creamy sauce, but it was like eating barely flavored spaghetti. The ham was thin and skimpy. Not recommended.

Had diner at Mio with 2 people. The food was nice and came really fast. The waiter was nice at first, but never asked if we wanted another drink or anything. When we wanted to pay, we wanted to give a 5% tip, because the service was not to great. The waiter then practically demanded a 10% tip, because 'that's common here'. This was really rude to our opinion.

We (me, husband, two kids) decieded to go to MIO, out of the blue and very hungry. Service was quite quick and ok polite. We ordered two pepperoni pizzas, nachos and a plate of jalapeno poppers, wings etc. to share. Onion rings were very dry, nachos too. Pizza was ok - not bad but nothing special. The place is very well located but just a typical tourist trap.

Easy to find in Alexanderplatz this Italian is great, but have a care on portion sizes. We had a couple of starters, bruschetta and garlic bread, and these were nearly a meal in themselves. Garlic bread was pizza shaped and size, and my (small appetite) wife only managed to finish her bolognaise after I'd shared her garlic bread starter. Error on my part, 'cos after taking in my bruschetta starter as well, I couldn't do justice to my pizza. Turned out well though 'cos we wrapped up the left over pizza for lunch by the river next day.

Our son booked this restaurant for our group of nine (two families, including teenagers and some younger kids), and we all thought it was great. I see from some other reviews that others had negative experiences, but we were impressed. The servers were all polite and attentive. The only complaint at our table of nine was that one person was never served a salad that should have accompanied his entree (schnitzel). Otherwise, orders were perfect, food was well prepared, and everyone was happy. The menu itself includes a few desserts (e.g., apple strudel, brownies), but the real dessert experience is found in the ice cream menu. They offer a large number of elaborate ice cream creations, and thos...

We went to Mio with my husband after very busy day in Berlin, just passing by and being very hungry. We ordered nachos original, waited for half hour and got a pile of blackened, cheesecoated nachos, gone allready cold. Now, I'm a vegetarian. I picked up a nacho and 10 cm long lump of cheese and CHICKEN followed. Totally groce. We complained and got another plate of nachos, now without chicken. We got billed nachos pollo anyway. But main courses were out of class. My husband got uncooked french fries and totally untempting portion of sausages in currysauce. He's not a picky kind of a person but could not continue after one bite. My pasta was not so horrible but just plain tasteless. And ther...

We were in Berlin for 2 nights, staying in Alexanderplatz and came upon this gem of a restaurant after visiting the TV tower (it is situated right beside it). As we love Italian food and had already samples currywurst etc (which was yummy by the way - I was pleasantly surprised!) we decided we would like some pasta or pizza. This restaurant had an impressive outside seating area as many do in Berlin, and had a very friendly relaxed atmosphere. After ordering our food, bread and oils were placed on our table. Prices were very reasonable with a main course costing around or just under 10€. The food was truly gorgeous! My husband got scampi pasta and I had a margarita pizza. The pizza was so fl...
