"It’s great that places like this are producing first rate food despite the difficult situation just now . The bases were perfect the choice of toppings interesting. My leek/onion/welsh cheese was excellent my husband raved about his fishy one . Good size too..., there’s enough left for our picnic tomorrow ."

"Four of us for dinner in one of the garden pods. Although it was a very chilly April evening, we were warm enough nestled into one of the heated pods once we had the front flap down and the blankets on our knees that 's not a complaint we wanted the outdoor experience, and it was just what we expected! The food was truly excellent I doubt you would be disappointed with any of the dishes. I had smoked duck, followed by belly pork and we shared charred cabbage, broccoli, hash browns and carrots. Dessert was a caramely choux bun with passion fruit sorbet. The food is more fine dining than pile it high , but the quality is such that each mouthful is savoured and not rushed, a consequence being that we had a long, leisurely dinner and left feeling fuller than was good for us. We were somewhat confused over the coffee... we thought we were ordering an irish style coffee but were served a cold hazlenut cocktail, which was delicious, but a puzzling end to the evening. The service was very attentive, headed up by a very sweet, young european man who was wonderful but a bit self concious of his limited english amongst chatty englanders! It wasn 't cheap.... think £60 £70 a head (with drinks), but it was worth it for a special occasion. Not our first time, and certainly not our last."

"Staying about 2 miles away so we went into the Village to find a Dog friendly pub for food and drink. Walking in to see several dogs lying quietly about was a encouraging start. Busy but a couple of tables free. Had a Pint of Doom Bar and a lager shandy for the wife which was priced as expected and ordered food Wife had the Lasagne off the specials board which she loved and I the Gammon steak which was also delicious. 4 pints and the meals came to around £39 and thoroughly recommend a visit. "Had an average panini bacon and Brie today. Quite easily could have made better at home. No effort in presentation and the accompanying coleslaw was tasteless and lots of water in the bottom of the small dish it was served in. Crisps we’re nice tho : Asked if there was changing facilities to change my 5 month old baby and was told there was a mat in the toilet and that I could change him on the floor in the toilet or on the toilet seat itself. Safety and hygiene was not considered by the staff member I spoke to. (Not 100% sure but seemed to be more in charge so possibly owner or manager, not very friendly person . Wasn’t welcomed or greeted when we entered or when we went up to order. Simple hello, how are you? Too much to ask. On a positive the lady who bought our food out to us was lovely and made time to speak to us all. Shame as the place itself was nice.l and was looking forward to a nice lunch and a matter with a friend. Have given one star as no stars wasn’t allowed."

"What an absolute gem! We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every single minute. The room was very clean great view and an awesome wet room with plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Shout out to Kim and Teagan who served us for breakfast. We told Kim we were going to Skomer to see the puffins and she gave us some really helpful tips thank you Kim as you were spot on about the bluebells!!! Taura checked us in and both she and the young man who was on in the evenings were so friendly and helpful. Dinner was delicious and there was so much we only had a main after the first night! We really enjoyed chatting to the staff and locals and they all made us feel welcome and at home. We will definitely return we met a man at breakfast who has been coming back every year for over 15 years we can see why!"
