"Ristorante molto bello e suggestivo posto sulla torre del Castello a Colle ‘Alta’. Atmosfera allietata da buona musica di sottofondo e da un servizio cortese ed efficiente. Menù vario che rispetta la stagionalità dei prodotti forniti del territorio con qualche variante un po' gourmet. Ci siamo limitati a un pranzo di sole 2 portate prendendo come antipasto una specialità: 2 Flan di Pecorino al Chianti su purea di Pesca bianca e Tartufo fresco molto buono e 2 Petti d’Anatra con Mosto d’Uva e Taccole accompagnate da contorno di 1 patata arrosto oltre a 2 Bicchieri di Vino Rosso Bolgheri, 2 Bottiglie d’Acqua naturale e 2 Caffè espresso, il tutto per un conto finale di € 100 € 50 a persona). Complessivamente buona esperienza sotto tutti i punti di vista, cucina, location e servizio, anche se dall’Anatra mi aspettavo di più, pensavo fosse ancora più saporita, comunque buona, ma nella media. Da riprovare, specialmente la sera d’estate quando con le luci è forse anche più romantico."

"it does not deserve more than three stars, not for the dishes that are of sufficient level even if the menu is not varied, but for the service that as available leaves puzzled. did not verify the green passage even if we were in possession and were present three pairs; he did not issue a receipt but having paid with paper. prices slightly higher than average for those in the area. if you find everything full."

"Abbiamo pranzato oggi in questo ristorante... Eccezionale è a dir poco... La location è bellissima, peccato per il brutto tempo, altrimenti si può pranzare anche fuori davanti a un bel panorama.... Dentro curatissimo e il cameriere di una gentilezza rara... Il cibo più che ottimo.. Dopo un antipasto con prodotti tipici contornato da una marmellata ai frutti di bosco e del miele da usare con i formaggi e poi dei pezzetti di noci e fichi secchi e scorzette candite.. Poi come primo ho preso dei ravioli al cacao che erano sublimi al palato, e mio marito degli spaghetti di Gragnano ai tre pomodorini... E dulcis in fundus, un semifreddo al Vin Santo con i cantucci appoggiato su un velo di miele... Per noi questo posto è stato una bellissima scoperta.. Forse per la sera è meglio prenotare... Fanno anche pizze... Se andate non vi pentirete... Noi torneremo sicuramente appena possibile..."

"Living close by we have heard about La Rana, now we tried it. Very nice little place, very friendly and helpfull waiters, particularly the young female waiter who served us and who should not be blamed for anything. She was only doing what her superior told her to do. The food was fine, but not particularly interesting we had 2 pasta and 2 main courses the pizza looked very good . It was quite full they did not respect the distance of 1 meter between tables, but had obviously set up more to be able to take in more guests than they ought to , so the waiting time was understandable, even though there were 4 waiters for about 60 seats. But..... we had reserved a table for nine o clock they close at ten thirty ,having to wait some minutes ok, fine and had our pasta about 9.20 ok, fine but at 9.30 they started to take away seats in tables around us wihtout due respect to the remaining guests they were simply closing one hour earlier than they said they would. A bit disturbing, but ok, fine. We both work in the restaurant industry and can understand that one tries to anticipate. It meant though that we had to wait for the main course while they did their duties. 3 waiters then left leaving the nice girl alone to finish, she brought our plates and, obviously as told started the final sanification of the premisses, meaning that she went around our table and those of the other remaing guests with a spray bottle of alcohol to disinfect within five minutes all our food tasted of disinfection spray uneatable. We left it, asked for the bill still before closing time and went to tell the owner WHY we had left it, he did not even excuse for the incident, but put on an arrogant face, saying that those are the rules He made us pay the full bill and saluted us saying that he hoped never to see us again !!! He definetely will not !!!"
