Mon Plaisir - Carta

The food at this restaurant is excellent. The salmon teriyaki is one of the best dishes on the menu. The staff are friendly and attentive, making for a great dining experience.

Food good but service was very poor. The young waiter didn't seem to know what to do and was difficult to communicate with. He also served us a bottle of white wine at room temperature and didn't seem to understand why that was wrong.

My parents “courted” here in the 1950s and as a family we have returned on special occasions when we can. Last night’s dinner was a truly lovely experience. Excellent traditional French food and wine, but best of all, fantastic service. A wonderful evening: thank you so much. Ver carta

This restaurant was across the road from the hotel where we were staying so nice and convenient. The meal didn't start well when our server had no knowledge of the wine list so we had to take a stab and what we ordered. The food was average, so really a disappointing night out. This area is full of much better options to spend your money on.

Disappointing to see the recent reviews as we stumbled across the restaurant whilst out in London . We live nearby and visit London frequently . We only wanted a drink and a sharing platter . Both were excellent and the staff very polite and helpful . I think like a lot of establishments now they struggle for staff Hope they pull it round as we really did enjoy ourselves

Late summer about 1700 been to an exhibition starting to getting chilly thought lovely time to have some wine and a platter or two somewhere, thought best place would be a French restaurant that had a cheese platter and other nibbles the restaurant totally empty went in said we’d like a bottle of wine and a couple of starters! 2 waitresses chatting turned around and said they were too busy but we could sit outside! I visited this restaurant to catch up with some old friends. The friend who made the reservation described it as having an "old school charm," but I personally found it to be outdated and worn out. I ordered the steak and fries, and while the steak was decent, the fries were served cold and the peppercorn sauce was unremarkable. Despite having a pleasant evening, I will be sure to choose the restaurant myself next time.

The service at this restaurant was professional and top-notch. The wine selection was fantastic. For my meal, I chose a special dish of warm goats cheese, beetroot, and honey salad which was both visually stunning and delicious. The main course of venison with chocolate and red wine sauce, chestnuts, and winter vegetables was cooked perfectly and incredibly tasty. To finish off the meal, I enjoyed a decadent creme brûlée. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future!

We were seated upstairs, it was very grubby with a filthy cloth shoved in a gap in the filthy velux type window. I had the 'special ' skate dish. It was massacred by the 'chef '. Rick hard fish floating in a sea of grease. I couldn 't eat it. No-one came to check how our food was during the meal and not did anyone ask why the food was almost all still on the plate when they cleared the table. Service was slow and the prices extortionate. They will not be receiving any further visits from me. Grim. Ver carta
