"who wants to eat authentic Indian is here on the right way! mother india is not only the best Indian restaurant in krefeld but is delighted by its cozy ambiente and the nice cook welcome everyone. I am so excited about the kokos letie (for which it is worth to drive) and also from the appetizer and the "after mint" which you get after each eat to not feel so full. the appetizer is not a naan brot but fried teigchips with different sauces. it's really something special! the main foods are currys that are simply delicious. who likes to enjoy here at the right address :)"

the food and drinks were very good: fresh, interesting, varied and atmospheric served. the service was very friendly and competent. I need gluten-free food, that was no problem at all. we will be coming back Ver carta

we eat vegan, that was no problem at all in ordering (being cooked without butterschmlaz). You don't have to lose many cakes, so delicious we haven't eaten indish for a long time. the owner is very friendly! absolute recommended!

both the decoration in the restaurant and the food were very authentic Indian. very delicious was for example the lens soup. the prices are cheap and the service very nice. the owner comes from Kerala/South India and is very warm. we'll be back.

Absolutely tasty food. The pakoras were freshly made and the navratna curry was delicious. Unlike lots of mainstream Indian food in Germany, the curry wasn't too oily but rather really light and filled with fresh herbs and spices. Additionally, the owner is such a nice person, very welcoming and friendly. Totally recommended! Ver carta

After I heard good about this restaurant, I had to go. it was worth it! the food was very, very tasty and freshly prepared.Chefin and service were very friendly and attentive. a must be dessert: the mango sail, served in a kind of apotheker bottle with thick straw. looks great and is super, super delicious! next time I try the other variants with kokos. I am very pleased to have found such a good restaurant in krefeld.

eating is great, we could talk to "mother india" personally, and she apologized for having taken so long, but she cooks every one of them fresh. So you should bring some time. the two young ladies in the service were unfortunately totally overwhelmed, ordering forgotten, sometimes they didn't know who gets what. therefore meditative geduld is in demand. therefore a point to be rejected. the food is topp, the best tweeper rings I've ever eaten and the mangolassi a dream. we're coming back.

"Namaste, ( according to my research ) is a respectful form of greeting when spoken and is accompanied by the clasped hands gesture. Not only is it the apt name of the restaurant but, without fail, is how every diner is greeted, more often than not by the utterly charming lady owner, resplendent in her Sari. With such a welcome, you really do feel welcomed, and it does set the tone for your visit. I have been there several times, often for lunch in the Summer months enjoying the enclosed courtyard and superb cuisine. and I have taken many photos, as that is my hobby…. food, haha.I have never really found the time to write a review ( until now ) and was urged to do so, because I went again recently with some local friends who are both Vegetarian… not easy, for a confirmed meat eater such as myself. The restaurant does lay on a fixed price buffet, Friday through Sunday evenings ( sorry, I don’t like the term “all you can eat” ) … but the variety of choice is well worth a mention. Bear in mind this is pre-Christmas, so booking was essential, and like most restaurants at this time, was full. However, we didn’t feel under pressure to “scoff and go” which is also a great feeling and adds to the quality of the evening. As I have mentioned it is the variety which counts here, suffice to say that my guests ate their fill from the vast selection of Vegan and Vegetarian offerings, as did I.I am sure interested parties will find their website easily for detailed information, However, the “must haves” for me are the:a) Chapati: A sea-salt encrusted and “inflated” bread… yum!b) The Mango and Yoghurt drink: Seriously, this is like Ambrosia from the gods!c) Trifle: equally divine! from the array of deserts and fresh fruits.Oooo, I have to stop writing now, as I am getting quite peckish. If you are in the Krefeld region, check it out, go eat and enjoy."
