"Disappointing experience. Ordered chat bombs monkey wrap, both of which were delicious. Then had office workers tiffin box. One of the dishes tasted like dishwater. So watery very bland. Other dishes average. Sat so close to next table it was a tight squeeze getting in out from table. Staff brought dishes altogether leaving no room on the table. The whole dining experience was extremely rushed, we both felt we had everything at once the staff couldn’t wait to get rid of us. We quickly visited the loo on way out noticed another couple already sat ordering at our table on our way out. Like a speedy factory line, not an enjoyable visit. Beautiful aesthetics with the little fairly lights everywhere but have had far better food at cheaper less known places. Visited London Mowgli in the summer a far nicer, less rushed time there. Will not return to the cardiff restaurant in a hurry."

What a cracking meal. Quick service, great quality food. The bhajees were huge. Crikey my eyes were bigger than belly. The staff were very attentive too

Had a take away here and usually we are delighted with the food. Unfortunately my chicken tikka biryani had hardly any chicken in it and my husbands jalfeizi had 4 pieces! The onion bahjiis were very greasy and huge

Two of the curries were not as we asked for (extra hot). Popadoms were damp and not crispy. Garlic mushrooms were bland and not seasoned. We had heard good things about Mowgli’s but unfortunately we weren’t blown away. It’s on our list of no-returns.

We came here to celebrate our son’s graduation. Service was friendly and the server was very helpful when choosing from the menu. The vegetarian choices were excellent. The set menu was good value for money. This restaurant has a lovely ambiance, we can’t wait to rest.

Such a great place to enjoy Indian food! All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Service was quick and the food came out piping hot and fresh. I ordered Madras and Pilau Rice which was really tasty and authentic. The waiters continued to bring poppadoms over to our table as we ate our food. Overall a fab experience, highly recommend!

Wanted dinner after a long day on my course at Uni. The chutneys that came with the poppadoms were clearly old, the onions in the raita had even changed colour a little. The pilau rice was lovely, but the paneer jalfrezi I ordered tasted like it had come out of a can. Just really underwhelming and flavourless. It was a Wednesday night too, so they can't have been too overworked. The servers were very polite and accommodating, the food just wasn't up to scratch.

We went for our anniversary been wanting to go for a while but didn’t get around to it The starters where good I had mixed kebab but there was no sauce like other places main course was good . The waiter lent over my husband as he was eating to remove plates couldn’t understand why he couldn’t use other side of table as we were sat on a four seater they couldn’t understand what drinks we wanted had to point on the menu we thought it was expensive for what we had The service was quick but there was only 3 tables being used seemed to be a quiet night not sure if it would be different on a busy night .Don’t think we’d go back but who knows

"It was the most bizarre experience dining here. First when we arrived in the restaurant, our group set up was that there was someone on each end who was sitting facing an empty chair on the other side of the table. Upon enquiry we understood it was a covid measure, however never had any other restaurants requesting such seating arrangements in the past 20 months. We ordered two split pots, a non-spicy broth for one side of the pot and a spicy broth for the other side. The staff came to confirm that we wanted spicy/non-spicy in each pot. Yes, we said. To our shock when the pots came, one pot was spicy/spicy on both side, and the other was non-spicy/non-spicy on both sides. This was after the staff had came by to confirm that we wanted a spicy/non-spicy set-up, and in the usual situation a person wanting a spicy broth would not have asked for a split pot. We raised this to the staff and were clearly unhappy about it, though did not insist on having the broths changed around. What happened next made it the most awkward and uncomfortable dining experience ever. From where we were sitting, we could hear the owner reprimanding the staff for the error, throughout our meal. We understand mistakes occur and if the owner was unhappy about the mistake and genuinely wanted to apologise, taking the initiative to change the broth to the right setup, or a complimentary drink or dish would have gone a long way. But no, he chose to reprimand the staff within our hearing for the whole dinner (which didn't help the situation one bit and made the experience worse! . We felt sorry for the staff. Even with the hospitality shortage, that was a completely wrong way to help the staff improve, nor help retain them in the long run. I don't remember anything about the food, although photos did show a good range to choose from. At the end of the meal we each received a box of hello panda, which might have helped, if not for the fact they were expired. All in all, would not recommend."
