"We went in a group and ordered a lot of different things, so got a good idea of the menu at Nelson's. The presentation and flavour of all the dishes was absolutely amazing, so we really have to be super positive about that. The glazed tofu on noodle salad and the crème brûlée were the winners of the evening and the cheesecake that was on the menu is definitely also recommended. I'd recommend the arancini too, which were very soft and tasty, but there were only 3 small arancini on the plate for £7, which in all honesty felt a little meagre. The same goes for the mushroom kiev with greens which at £14 felt a bit on the small side (2 portobello mushrooms on a handful of greens)."

Fantastic food, well presented and a really nice menu. We tried a few things on the menu from Nibbles through to dessert. Couldn't fault it, you could tell a lot of effort had been put into the dishes. Nice friendly staff too, I'll be going here again definitely. Ver carta

very atmospheric (in the cellar) large selection of wine. gluten-free options are not marked on the menu, but are available when they ask the server. eating is on the expensive side and some of the combinations of food flavor are a bit on the experimental side, but overall a beautiful experience.

we shared some of the small dish dishes for our meal they were all amazing. really interesting innovative aroma ingredients combinations. service and atmosphere were also great. my only light criticism is that everything was quite intensely tasted and sometimes it's just nice to let the sweet in her own right shiny. updated by previous review on 2022-04-15

They have just reopened as fully plant based restaurant after being shut for over a year. We went down there for food on a hot thursday evening and it was nice and cool to sit down there. The food was out of this world off the scale and the natural orange wine was just delightful. Staff are friendly and efficient. Will defo be going to this basement restaurant again very soon. we had a good dinner tonight. the baked “Camembert” is delicious, sprinkled with rosmarin and garlic and served with great sourdough. I had the moussaka that was served in a baked aubergine. my partner had the tofu burger he said was full of different flavors, creamigen mayo, crispy tofu and cut through a stroke of jalapeño. beautiful atmosphere and personal also. it's a bit expensive, but we thought it was worth money.

full vegan place. eating here is just amazing. original, inventive, delicious and healthy. I have several dishes from the menu (which occasionally changes) and have loved each one of them. have brought non-vegan friends here and they were blown away. very reasonable prices when considering how good it is to eat. the service is excellent, fast and friendly. beautiful non-pretentious ambiente, with interesting and quirky customers. my favorite place. go easy! updated by previous review on 2022-04-18
