"This is the 2nd time I have visited The Duke and the experience this time was not as good. Unfortunately, the waiting staff seemed very disorganised and were not very attentive when taking the order. The cutlery, serviettes were not brought out all at once but they kept coming backwards and forwards. One of the party had the gnocchi and when the waiter asked if we wanted anything else, ie, sauces, etc, they requested some parmesan cheese. The waiter returned to say that we could have parmesan but there would be an extra charge of £1 ! I have never in all the times I have visited restaurants have been asked to pay extra for parmesan cheese. We then asked to speak to the manager, who came over and said she would have to speak to the chef as she was a temporary manager. I am not sure what that had to do with making a decision on whether or not we had to pay for the parmesan. I pointed out that a member of the party was having the fish chips but had requested at the time of ordering that they did not want the mushy peas or tartare sauce. We would certainly not have expected to receive a reduction in the price ! The temporary manager then said she did not want to argue about it so would bring a portion of parmesan for no extra cost. I was a bit annoyed as there should have not been any argument at all as surely a small grating of parmesan should be free anyway, or the price incorporated in the cost of the meal !"

it was super delicious and the staff was also very nice. although I would like to see more options and more creative than salads and burgers.

my favorite breakfast in richmond! pfannkuchen, vegan teller and eier benedikt. all are amazing! if they are there after the breakfast when we had the chance to try their burgers, they should also try!

I visited No 1 Duke Street with some friends. The food was great, drink list was varied, the service was superb and the atmosphere just great to have a fun time with loved ones. I will certainly visit it again!

we had the most wonderful experience today in the no 1 duke street. eating, drinks, attention to the detail was excellent. the ambiente decoration amazing. thanks giovanni faustas! we cannot wait to come back! highly recommended.

great place. one of my favorite places for a morning coffee, meetings, lunch and even mamas night trips. I love to come here to read a book a quiet environment at the fireplace, also. nice and great menu. They should definitely taste vegan breakfast and also coconut cheesecake

We had a lovely Sunday brunch here. Service was polite, friendly, and attentive. Both food and drinks (coffees alcohol) were served quickly. Range of food on the menu was good. The pancakes sounded absolutely amazing and they looked great when we saw them served to another table, but the 1.5k calorie count was off-putting.

Cute place hidden behind the main street of Richmond. Food and service was good. Wait for food much shorter than the app said so very happy! Was a bit annoyed as told one minute have to order via app and then finding didn't need to download app after all but winner in the end as meant could leave as soon as we were finished without having to try and chase someone for the bill. Will be keeping the app for my next visit

We held our wedding reception here in February 2022. We only arranged it with 4 weeks to go until the day, but Tonya and the team at the restaurant were brilliant the whole way through. We booked the whole upstairs and had 25 guests for lunch, then 45 overall for drinks and dancing in the evening. The space was perfect, and we were allowed to decorate the room with a load of little touches that made the space very intimate.
