"I went for lunch today and arrived just after 12. It wasn't too busy. We ordered food and waited quite a while, nearly an hour, for our starters. There was only one person serving tables in the large restaurant, and they were doing their best. After we finished our starters, we waited for our mains. It turns out we were supposed to go to the bar and let the staff know we were done, but we weren't aware of that. The mains arrived and they could have been better - the caesar salad had nearly pan-fried halloumi, the lettuce wasn't fresh, the dressing was warm, and the side order of onion rings cost 3.75 for only 5 rings. The salad with halloumi cost 13.75 plus 3.75 for the side order, which is too expensive. It's clear that there is a staffing issue at this restaurant, and I've seen job adverts for positions there for a while. They need a supervisor or manager in addition to the one person trying to manage everything. It may be a while before I go back, which is a shame. (Estimated time: 12:05-14:45)"

Four real ale handpulls available, only one working! Pretty poor. The price of food was ridiculous. We went to another pub with more variety, and better prices !

I went to this restaurant for the first time today for breakfast with my husband. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food was amazing. I will definitely make a point of visiting again.

A nice pub, customers were very friendly and nice, some younger customers were pretty rude to others pushing in line when there was a queue for the bar, other than that it was a nice clean and friendly atmosphere.

Pretty basic pub with rubbish service and with very poorly trained staff.Also a complete lack of any management in attendance. Dreadful place that I have no intention of revisiting which is sad really as I enjoyed the beers on sale. Ver carta

Stayed for one night and the room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the pub and we really enjoyed the food. Good quality. Overall it was excellent value for money and we will go there again.

Only visited the area twice and this pub both times. The cask ale was vinegar both times and had to be taken off. On this occasion, we stayed over. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean and we slept well. However, my main reason for the low rating was the rudeness of the bar woman. After a family crisis i returned to the pub at 9.30 pm and sat quietly looking at a book. She shouted from behind the bar Do you want a drink? So, I ordered one. To then be told it was last orders. At 9.45pm! Feeling very unwelcome, i went quietly to bed!
