Nostalgia Tea Rooms

We had lunch today at this lovely tea room. Great service and a lovely lunch of prawn sandwiches, fruit scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of coffee. Will definitely return next time we are in Southport.

Food plentiful, excellent quality, staff attentive great experience all round, the venue itself is like stepping back into time, love the dresses that are worn, it’s upstairs and downstairs era, Fab! Nostalgia is the right name for these tea rooms

Had a lovely meal with my friend at Nostalgia on Lord St. yesterday plus the staff are so friendly and helpful. We are very sad to hear that on the 30hth of this month the owners are retiring and Nostalgia will close. We wish them all the best in their retirement and will miss such a lovely place for a meal . It was a spookey welcome this morning to Nostalgia with the goules and ghosts who greet you as the restaurant is set up for Halloween. They even have a Halloween tree. The food was exceptional with quality products and I couldn't fault it. There is lots to look at and if you look forward to Halloween this is a must try restaurant.

The tearooms are absolutely stunning, and I had a wonderful Sunday Roast that was cooked perfectly. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive. I brought my 3-year-old with me, and it was heartwarming to see how the staff interacted with her - she had a great time. Keep up the fantastic work, and we will definitely be returning soon.

Had lunch hear today my partners bread was stale i had tuna with baked potato the skin was rock hard as if it had been in the microwave for to long so just ate inside of potato so went to pay told woman in charge ,the bill was over 20 pounds and she took 1 pound of i think the money meant more to them than the customer being happy will not b returning as feel as if we were ripped of Ver carta

Booked afternoon tea for two and it was delicious. I always think there is never enough savoury food so was pleased to see a portion of chips and a bite size vegetable lasagne included along with the usual sandwiches. Plenty of different cakes (bakewell tart, swiss roll, brownie topped with strawberry dipped in chocolate etc and a lovely scone served with butter, jam and cream. All very fresh and tasty. Hopefully it won't be too long before we go again.

Whenever we come across a new restaurant, we like to browse their menus online through their website. In December 2023, we were surprised to see that the restaurant was still promoting the "Eat Out to Help Out" initiative from August 2020 on their website. It gave us the impression that the restaurant was outdated and lacked motivation. The food was decent and the service was above average, but it felt like the restaurant was struggling to stay afloat. The management often responds to TripAdvisor reviews, so it will be interesting to see their explanation for the outdated promotion on their website.

During our annual friends and family gathering in Southport, we decided to celebrate a member of our party turning 80 with afternoon tea at The Nostalgic. We made a reservation in advance and were thrilled with our choice. Despite it being Christmas time, the staff went above and beyond by decorating the serving platter with a birthday message in chocolate and putting up birthday banners. The afternoon tea was delicious and a great value for the money. To top it off, they even surprised us with some warm chips at no extra charge due to the cold weather.
