The owner is very unfriendly and unpleasant. Avoid going there and avoid any complaints, as she will not take it well.

Awful, waited an hour and a half for starters which were average at best. Mains were absolutely swimming in oil and were extremely bland. Was very excited to come here but will not be returning.

This place is no longer operating but you can still book a table on booking websites so you turn up to find it closed !! Luckily a Japanese restaurant just up the road called Zen could fit us in …

The atmosphere transports you to Portugal, the food is outstanding, with many unique dishes that are delicious! The service is great, just be prepared to wait as the food takes time to cook properly.

Amazing! My new favourite restaurant in southend, the mains were unreal and the homemade desserts were delicious. The owner was really friendly and provided us with a really lovely experience. Will be coming back again for sure

What can I say WE are GUTTED... Our FAVOURITE restaurant has closed...STARTED going when it opened must be 15 YEARS AGO now... We had Birthdays,Xmas's,NYE,CELEBRATIONS of BIRTHS you name it above all...ME MY PARTNER were in here pretty much every weekend...FOOD AMAZING,AMBIENCE AMAZING Mickey Flanagan!! But above all,FATIMA,LYDIA,HUGO all the family were like our family...Miss you guys! Xx

My friend and I visited this restaurant prior to seeing a show at the Palace theatre. We chose to share the Tapas and had a bottle of wine with it. The chorizo came out in a flaming bowl with bread followed by mussels, steak, prawns, mushrooms, olives etc in small bowls. The food and wine were good and very reasonable. The meal was £20 a head and well worth it. To top it off the young Portuguese waiter, who I believe was called Nidia was charming. Well worth trying.

As soon as we walked in I knew this was going to be great. A traditional family run restaurant. Mum is chef and family server's. Excellent service, attentive but unobtrusive. I asked and was given great recommendation when I could not make my mind up between x2 dishes. The sangria btw was immense. I had sardines. Then a chicken piri dish which was made milder for me when I said i could not take it too spicy. The Natos were of course just the best to round off the meal. Great atmosphere and authentic styling. Cant wait to go back and work through the menu. It is not niche. There is something for everyone from chargrill chicken to traditional Portuguese stew or Madeira steak . Don't go to anot...

We have visited this restaurant numerous times over the past decade, but unfortunately, the quality has been steadily declining. Despite booking a specific table for our visit, it was not available when we arrived. However, we were able to find a suitable table for my friend with CEV. The service was better than previous visits and the food arrived promptly. The menu in the restaurant differed from the one online, and we were disappointed to find that a favorite dish was no longer available as a starter.
