"Wow, what an amazing place for gluten-free food! This fish and chip shop is incredible, with exceptional customer service. My friend and I took our children to Drayton Manor last Saturday, and ended up staying later than planned. On our way home, we needed to find something to eat for both the kids and us, but since we are both gluten-free (coeliac), we knew it would be a challenge. I decided to search before leaving the park and found Oceans in Tamworth. It was only 8 minutes away and on the way to Nottingham, so we decided to give it a try. Despite getting a bit lost, we eventually found Oceans in a small shopping area and parked our car. When I asked if they still made gluten-free food, I was surprised by the owner's enthusiastic response. He was incredibly helpful and showed us their wide range of gluten-free options, as they had been making gluten-free food for 18 years. He provided me with a menu that included not only fish and chips, but also other delicious items like gravy, onion rings, lemon pepper fish, etc. He also showed me how they keep all gluten-free ingredients separate and clearly marked in the kitchen. While waiting for our order to be freshly cooked, he even gave us a sample of chips and gravy to try. The food was incredibly delicious, and it was the first time I had enjoyed fish and chips in 10 years! He also treated us to a taste of the delicious lemon pepper cod. As coeliacs, my friend and I also received a free bottle of gluten-free chip vinegar. I ordered a large cod and chips with gravy (which was so good that I wished I had just ordered that instead), and got a child's portion for my son."

the best fish and chips I had for a lot of time. extensive gluten-free options. also healthy non-broken fish and salat options! slightly different, without losing the classic fish and the chip shop. very friendly staff.

Food was amazing and we were given a few free chips whilst waiting and samples the dusted cod which is gorgeous, the home made chilli sauce is fantastic. The owner makes a real effort to get to know his customers which is great to see.

The service at this fish and chip shop was incredible! I took my two daughters after school and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. He took the time to chat with them, let my oldest daughter pour her own drink, and even gave them both a free dessert. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place!

My usual chippy doesn't open until 4.30 so did a quick search and found this little gem open. Unlike some other reviews I found the staff friendly, funny and very helpful. I was given taster foods and free gravy pot to sample. Needles to say this is now my new chip shop. Always a good day when a banging chippy comes my way.

First time order from ocean’s tonight. Must say that I’ve not found a decent chippy since moving to the area a few years ago but really enjoyed this!! Staff are friendly and welcoming, food was delicious and special care taken in regards to wrapping and packing food so it was still warm when arrived home. Will definitely go back to oceans next time I want a chippy tea treat. Ver carta

the best broken chips I've ever tasted! I traveled all the way from france to experience the amazing belfast pasty made here, and I was not disappointed! the mixture of kartoffel, wobbled, sausage (all perfectly seasoned) was so delicious, feel good. the huh kebab meat was so juicy, it was as soft as butter. the hell melts in my mouth. I don't know which magie they use to keep her huh so tasty and soft, but do exactly that. the staff is amazing, the service was friendly and efficient, and eating was epic! I'm back.

This chip shop is a hidden gem. We visited a few weeks ago after reading the amazing reviews and we were not disappointed. Sean, the owner, greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. My husband is a vegan with coeliac disease and Sean informed us that they have a separate fryer for gluten-free items and that the cooking oil is vegan. Sean cooked up some gluten-free onion rings, battered mushrooms, and chips for us, and they were absolutely delicious - the best chips we've had in a long time. The service was fantastic, with all staff being friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back.
