During our stay at the Hoxton Hotel, we decided to try out this pub for dinner. We ordered the steak, Mediterranean platter, and goat, and were pleased with the tasty meal we had.

This cozy bar located in the center of Shoreditch is decently comfortable. It was not too crowded, the music was at a good volume, and the bathrooms even had a vending machine with pantyhose.

Upon first glance, this small restaurant may not seem extraordinary. However, once customers step inside, they are in for a fantastic culinary journey. Don't be put off by the possible line outside - the wait is definitely worth it. Ver carta

The place was quite busy. Had a line outside a few moments after I arrived. Had the bibimbab. It was good. Had some nice flavours but I've had this dish many times and it wasn't quite as good as some others. Overall a nice meal but I think the had my expectations too high.

With Michael away in New York, I managed to convince my stepdad to share mum and let me keep her in London the night before her birthday, provided that she was on the first train home the following morning. Since the two of their birthdays are actually only 9 days apart, their joint birthday gift was to be a family dinner at Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack, paid for by Michael moi. With that in mind, the venue for mum’s my cheeky date night was to be more of a low-key affair. Since mum loves Korean food but never gets to eat it (being a country bumpkin and all), I could think of nowhere better to feed her Seoul than On the Bab.

This is a double review! I have eaten at On The Bab many times in the past, but for some reason they have never disappointed. This time, I treated myself to the comfort of my home with the help of Deliveroo, a food delivery service. I used their user-friendly app to order my food, keeping track of the timing from preparation to delivery. It took about 30 minutes from ordering to arrival. My favorite part of ordering food is watching it head towards my house—a comforting sight. The food was well packed and arrived in one piece, although the packages were not marked.
