Very tasty authentic Keralan cuisine. Good selection of vegetarian dishes, and amazingly good value. Tooting has a lot of choice, but this is probably our favourite!

Have eaten here a couple times now and the food is excellent. The rice hoppers are the perfect accompaniment to all their curries and the chicken fry is the perfect spicy main. Ver carta

I highly recommend Onam. The food was delicious, especially the prawn poori, dosa, and coconut paratha. The staff was friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. With the taste card, the bill was surprisingly cheap for such great food. I will definitely be returning!

Tried a variety of dishes, all were delicious and nicely spiced. I've been to Banana Leaf across the road would say they're comparable but the bonus is Onam accepts Tastecard. Only negative would be it was quite cold sitting by the window on a wet miserable day, but it won't put me off returning.

I love the food here! Iv come here with various friends of mine and they tell me banana leaf is better ..... They have not eaten here.. .why because you can't hear a microwave ping like you do over there and the food is so fresh and the staff so so friendly and recommend choices for you such a reasonable price bring your own drink and taste card??? I also work at the hospital and the lunch specials are so good I'm thinking maybe I should diet next year??? Ver carta

Went to this place and they had onam sadya (a kerala festival celebration). It cost £14 for the meal which is all vegetarian and the custom is if you finish any dishes, it's topped up. However we had to keep asking and were given seconds begrudgingly and very little at that, they were not generous the first time either. It's a meal that consists of different courses and we had to ask every time for the next item. What we got for what we paid was extremely disappointing. It was a money making scam. Give as little as possible and hope they don't ask policy. Waste of time and money. The food was below par as well.

We used the Taste Card to dine here and were pleasantly surprised. Onam represents a traditional Kerala diner and is decorated in such a way. Having never tried Kerala food before I was won over. The food was tasty, full of flavour and very reasonably priced. The service was also very friendly. Be warned, if you are not into spicy food ask what the mild options are. Our waiter was very helpful. I am a big lover of spicy food but my starter was particularly firey! But I was able to eat it all. Starters for me was Morra Porichathu an omelette with green chillies and spices. My main was Kappa Erachi lamb with tapioca and spices. Very tasty. Our latest curry adventure took us back to Kerala at Onam, located at Tooting High Street. The exterior of the restaurant features black and red signage with red and gold curtains, giving it a bold appearance. Inside, the cozy atmosphere resulted in a solid Venue Score of 7.1/10. As we entered the restaurant, we were pleased to see other curry enthusiasts already seated. The starters we ordered, including Vegetable Samosas, Poori Chana, Plain Dosa, Special Prawn Poori, and Ulli Vada, were all excellent.
