"We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly waitress who let us choose a table and even though there were only two of us she let us have the prime window table laid out for four. We ordered drinks and chose the set Classic Menu. The starters arrived and were lovely and the presentation was beautiful too. We then had the crispy aromatic duck course which was again delicious but we had an odd number of wraps so had to cut one in half and share but never mind! The final main course was the best yet all the dishes were delicious. The Sizzling King Prawns in black bean sauce were exactly that piping hot and sizzling black smoke over the table! The crispy shredded beef was tasty and the Thai green curry spicy. My only minor quibble was the dish of special fried rice to share could have been bigger to soak up all the lovely sauces. After each course the waitress brought a dish of warm water to wash our sticky hands and piping hot towels at the end of the meal. We will definitely be going back soon."

We regularly order from there and the food never disappoints! We even fed back once when we didn't like the food and the manager offered to re-cook it for us and offered us a free meal too. Really good service and good quality food. Highly recommended!

I used to attend this restaurant, and the quality was good, but the latest takeaway: Overpriced, cold, order was wrong. The Prawn Noodle dish had 3 prawns, the duck dish had 3 bits of duck. Don't risk it: we shall be spreading the word that a once successful restaurant has declined.

I visited this restaurant a couple of days ago and was disappointed to find that it seemed to have closed down. All of the furnishings had been removed. It was a lovely restaurant, although sometimes quieter than another Chinese restaurant nearby. The kind lady who always greeted us recognized us and remembered my daughter's dietary needs due to allergies. It would be a shame if it has permanently closed.

Louisa and the team provided a fantastic mix of 3 starters and 3 main courses for our Chinese 'new year ' party for 50 people last night. She meticulously planned the menu with us a fortnight before and got a great selection of meat and veggie combinations. The food was delicious, and delivered to our house hot and ready to eat in electric steamers exactly on-time. Thanks Louisa, a terrific and very tasty night for us all

We decided to order from this restaurant again based on previous positive experiences. However, this time we were very disappointed. The food was extremely oily and had a bad smell. The BBQ spare ribs were tasteless and unappetizing, lacking any sauce. When we raised our concerns with the restaurant, they directed us to Just Eat and suggested leaving a negative review. We spent thirty pounds on a subpar meal, which left us feeling frustrated and unsatisfied.

We were disappointed by a nearby Chinese restaurant but Oriental Tree saved our evening with their delicious food and excellent service. As new customers, we received complimentary food and a friendly text before collecting our order. The Malaysian Chicken satay was delicious and I plan to order it again. The chilli beef was a bit too spicy for us, even though we usually enjoy spicy food. However, the overall dishes and portion sizes were great so we will definitely be returning. We heard that they will be rebranding soon so keep an eye out for their new name.

We visited this restaurant last night purely because they now have obscured the front window with some glass coating and signage. We never liked the restaurant before as it was like a goldfish bowl. Everyone walking past could have a good gaup at you while you were eating. We are now very happy with the more private dining experience and were particularly delighted with the extensive vegetarian and vegan options. We loved the mock aromatic duck and pancakes. Also liked the veggie chicken and lamb options. Seafood and normal chicken also got the thumbs up. Will be back more often in future, expecially as they still allow BYO, albeit with the £5 corkage which is pricey plus the automatic 10% o...

Oriental Tree (soon to be called Red Emperor) runs the entire gamut of Oriental cuisine. Malaysian, Thai, Chinese and even Japanese udon noodles are represented. The menu is huge, with an entire section devoted to vegetarian dishes. I guess the absence of pork dishes is due to religious reasons but it would have been nice to have the option. Food was great. Crispy Mongolian lamb in lettuce leaves and mandarin lamb ribs were tasty. I enjoyed my Mee Goreng but was surprised it wasn't served with a fried egg, the Thai Green curry was fine but a tad lacking in seasoning. My only gripe was with the service. Firstly the table we were given was by the bar and obscured our view of the restaurant. Se...

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
