"We’re from California and our B&B hostess at Casale Valleverde, Sylvana, recommended Origini, specifically Andrea the chef. We had eaten at a Michelin 1 star the night before, but even they could not compare to Andrea’s culinary skill and creativity. He is young, passionate and determined, and such a host. He arrived at our table and explained both the dishes on his menu and his culinary philosophy, and his vision for his restaurant. He uses traditional Italian dishes for example, risotto, carpaccio, bagnacauda and puts a Calabrian twist, using local (and some Puglianese foods e.g. beef . ‘Simple’ he calls it; ‘scrumptious’ we said. Risotto used Sibari rice, and local Pollino National Park black truffles decorated the Puglianese beef carpaccio. (The truffle and shaver were left at the table to use at will!! . A buffalo mozzarella (twice creamed served with wonderfully flavored local tomatoes was a starter. Andrea, who is from Castrovillari, has returned (thus ‘Origini’ to his roots from chef travels in Japan, Copenhagen and London. He wants to celebrate Calabrian cuisine and share his inspiration with Calabrians and visitors to the region. He is way too young to be so accomplished: he himself should be celebrated for his talent. Do not miss Origini!"

The owner was very friendly. He suggested multiple vegetarian friendly local dishes and explained where the ingredients came from. Both of the waiters were really nice. I would for sure recommend this restaurant to anyone.

a metà strada tra il tribunale e l'ospedale si trova questo bellissimo posto. È davvero tutto un piacere, dall'arredamento alla reception, passando ovviamente soprattutto per il cibo. prodotti locali che segnano l'occhio alla modernità cotta in modo interessante.

Menu is only Italian, which is always a good sign for Excelent local food . And after some Google-translate and help from staff, we really get a good one. Staff was extreme-elämyksiä helpful, telling us from local wines etc. Evening was crowned with best tiramisu we get during a week roadtrip (So it’s hopefully acseptable, that picture is only from empty Jar…

La frittura croccante e asciutta, cos' come il baccal "mussillo di gran qualit in tempura. Il trancio di ricciola vale da se il pranzo.Un'altra sorpresa stata la fregola, un sentore di Sardegna sul Poliino.Ottimo il dessert (il bab pi del cannolo).Ottimo e cordiale il servizio.Il prezzo pagato in linea con quello dei ristoranti di pari qualit e i soldi qui son ben spesi.Torneremo.
