No Menu, no prices, the owner charges you whatever he wants at the end, no matter how well you clarify things. Not good at all.

We were recommended this by a Venetian, and it didn't disappoint. The owner makes the food himself, and we came away wishing that more people knew about it.

The food was awesome, the staff super friendly and the spritz and cicchetti incredible. Super cozy place to stop by and have some drinks or something to eat. Totally recommended.

After checking into our house 03/30, the host took us on a short tour of the area and we wound up at BABA. We had an espresso, caffe Americano and Aperol Spritz, total for all 3 was only €6,10. Very friendly staff, even allowed us to take, for gratis, a few packs of mint green tea for our sick daughter.

The starters were good, the vegetarian plate was good, the squirts could have been more seasoned and less hairy yes, we found 3 (2 black and one blonde) hair in our food. The main dish was Spagetti with clams, which was (unexpectedly) spicy! Not my cup of tea! But all, in all, nice atmosphere, nice music, polite service and comfortable interior design.

This restaurant is really special. The staff were friendly and passionate about the food. They clearly love local produce and are happy to recommend dishes to you. Refreshingly the menu is very simple (hooray) as they cook whatever they buy in the market that day. And it shows, the food was fresh, well thought out delicious. Brilliant pasta. Particular commendations to the red tuna which was one of the best steaks, meat or fish, that I’ve eaten. This was the best meal we had in our week in Venice. Highly recommended.

Excellent seafood, prepared with great dedication and care, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff that will happily share their passion for 'la Serenissima ' besides the culinary gems that can be found on the menu! Dishes may vary according to the season and depending on what local produce can be found on the market! Apart from that, the restaurant impresses with a ample selection of regional wines! A little off the touristy track, this place calls to be discovered in order to promise an unforgettable night spent in Venice!

We spent one night in Venice and were lucky enough to stumble upon this place. Everything was perfect from start to finish. We arrived on a Saturday evening without a reservation and were seated straight away. The menu changes every day because they base it around the fresh ingredients they find at the market each morning. We had a parmigiana di melanzane with a smoked cheese to start, then a fish platter (we chose sea bass, cod, and tuna accompanied by chicory and artichokes). To finish off we had a homemade tiramisu.
