"Unser Lieblingstürke hatte leider sonntags zu. Da fanden wir mitten auf dem Marktplatz viele Tische und Leute die in diesem Lokal speisten. Probieren wir mal, dachten wir und waren super überrascht. Nicht nur die Karte war super mit einer schönen Auswahl, sondern auch das ganze Ambiete. Wir kommen gerne wieder, auch wenn es nicht gerade preisgünstig war, dafür war es sehr sehr gut."

"We went there after a bike trip from Nuremberg and I literally had the best burger (Früchtchen was it) of my life. The location is great, right in the old town and they have a nice, sunny terrace to enjoy a warm summer day. Inside...the restaurant looked also very stylish with extraordinary decorations. The waitress was pretty friendly, giving recommendations on their menu. That was a hard decision which place to choose to eat and I guess it was the best one we could have made. The only thing I was just a bit disappointed was the artificial-tasting mint syrup in homemade lemonade (ginger-mint-lemon one). It would be better if they used fresh mint leaves. All in all, while thinking of it, I would even travel all the way to Lauf just to eat there again!"

"very good German meal in the center of lauf. we were in one of the small towns along the pegnitz and only limited availability with regard to open restaurants, so we had to go to dinner after running. this was a pleasant experience and. we had a great meal in zwinger melber with traditional German food. would recommend the place for tourist in the neighbourhood."

"Das weisse Lamm ist eine echte althergebrachte "Fränggische Wärdschafd", mit rustikalem undverschöntem Ambiente, schlicht und einfach. Man geht hier hin zum Essen und nicht zum schauen.Dafür ist das Essen aber auch erstens exzellent und zweitens unschlagbar günstig. Wo bekommt man noch eine riesige Schweinshaxe mit Kloß und Sauce für 6,80 Euro?Der Kalbsbraten ist so unglaublich gut dass ich glaube einen besseren habe ich noch niemals gegessen. Die Speisekarte umfasst alle beliebten fränkischen Braten und Pfannengerichte wie Schnitzel und gebackenes Kotelett, zwei Fischgerichte und tolle Steaks und Filets. Auch für Vegetarier und Salatfans ist gesorgt. Die Vesperplatte ist der HAMMER!!!Der Service war als wir dort gegessen haben etwas langsam, wir warteten eine dreiviertel Stunde auf das erste Essen. Auch den Blick des Obers zu erhaschen war schwierig. Kann sein dass das ein momentaner Eindruck war, deshalb möchte ich das jetzt nicht negativ werten. Das Essen ist super gut, frisch gekocht ohne Geschmacksverstärker oder anderen Schnickschnack, und günstig . Was will man mehr wenn es gerade nur ums Essen geht? Für romantische Abende oder Treffen mit Freunden würde ich allerdings eher in ein optisch hübscheres Restaurant gehen."

"I know there are many very positive reviews here, which I unfortunately cannot confirm. We were there with 4 adults and 3 children, all had different dishes. Location is beautiful, in summer it is great with the beer garden, parking directly at the house. But: Taramas as an appetizer brutally greasy, we couldn't finish them. Main food e.g. fish plate, all fried in a uniform gray-brown panade, especially the fish fillets rusty very fishy, half went back, meat plates quite dry, dessert however top. Much too expensive compared to other Greek restaurants in the area. Why we didn't say anything? We didn't want any stress on Saturday night. In the end, it was 5 people bad, I myself had to hand over me three hours later so that the stomach finally calms down."
