Ottima cena a base di piatti Mantovani. Antipasto misto, tortelli di zucca e stracotto con polenta. Tutto molto buono. Una particolare menzione per la sbrisolona, veramente spettacolare! Personale cordiale e disponibile

We had lunch in this tavern with excellent pumpkin tortelli and Mantua platter. Courteous and fast service. All accompanied by the pleasant surprise of having Alessandro Borghese and his collaborators as table neighbors.

Abbiamo preso due degustazioni, una di Mantova e una del territorio. Entrambe molto buone, gustose e ben cucinate. Porzioni giuste, formate da un antipasto, un primo, un secondo e il dolce, bevande escluse. Servizio veloce e molto attento, complimenti alla cameriera di sala. Consigliato. Ver carta

2023/11/25: Not necessarily a big kitchen but Casalinga in the city. Menu very modest. The anitpasti is ideal for 2 or more people. Arrosto (roast pork) was good. Compared to the reviews, our food came quickly. The almond dessert with lots of mascarpone was delicious. Very little wine selection. Friendly staff. A quiet evening with few guests is also worth something.

The place is in the same building as our hotel, smack in the city center. The waiter was very friendly and efficient advising my wife about her lactose intolerance. I had a very good tagliere followed by pumpkin tortelli. A rather nice local Merlot wine was also provided. The price was convenient and the 20% discount for booking via The Fork made it a bargain. Recommended!

ci sono stato domenica,in occasione di una visita a Mantova a vedere il centro e i mercatini di Natale...be' che dire,cominciamo dicendo che l'ho scelto perche' tra noi,c'era una persona intollerante al glutine,ho fatto la prenotazione per 9 persone velocemente online...servizio ottimo,cosi come i piatti...il conto adeguato per quello che ho mangiato.Se dovessi tornare a Mantova ,ci tornero sicuramente.. I had dinner in this delightful osteria during these days of overnight stay and visit to Mantua: it is located in a strategic position, in front of the cathedral and is connected to the Hotel dei Gonzaga. The food is really tasty and typical of the area, the waiting times were acceptable and the service was punctual and kind. Normal prices, definitely recommended if you are visiting Mantua! Furthermore, if you stay at the Hotel dei Gonzaga, you will have a 10% discount!

Il cibo è abbastanza buono, ma la pecca di questo ristorante è il palese ritardo nel servizio. Siamo andati a mangiare in 4. Abbiamo ordinato un tagliere di salumi, 2 primi e due secondi, ma arrivati alle 13:30 abbiamo cominciato a mangiare quasi alle 15:00. Ora, sarebbe bastato cominciare a servire almeno il tagliere (che ahimè non era sufficiente per 4 persone, stremate dall' attesa), e invece poi ci è stato servito tutto con estremo ritardo. Buoni i tortelli con la zucca, ma un servizio più celere ci avrebbe concesso di apprezzare meglio la cucina mantovana.

We chose this restaurant because it was connected to our hotel and the kids were starving! We ordered the prix fixe, 4 course menu items to split between 2 adults and 2 kids. Degustazione Mantovana, Degustazione di Mare and Degustazione del Territorio. The standout starter was the Luccio in salsa (puke in salsa), delicate and flavored perfectly. The next course had 2 types of rice/risotto our favorite was the risotto tradicionale con Tastasale, Grana Padano e Rosemaria (rice with sausage, cheese and rosemary. Our favorite entrees included octopus over polenta and beef stew over polenta. Desserts included cheesecake, cream caramel and the traditional Sbrisolona. We paired the meal with Gallo... Ver carta
